Bon Accord is located just west of Glasgow centre right on the M8. It is very much a traditional boozer that specializes in real ale and malt whisky; both of which they have a wide selection of. They offer up to 10 cask ales mosty from Scottish breweries. I wouldn’t say any of these particularly excited me - mostly bitters & golden ales, but there is some obscure stuff there. They also have some German bottles in the fridges. Service was rather good and we enjoyed out visit. A decent venue all in all.

Excellent selection of well kept cask conditioned ales, and a decent bottle selection, off topic a little, but a simply magnificent whisky selection. Staff really know their stuff and are a credit to the establishment. The food was very good, and the portions generous, I had the Bon Breakfast, which is probably the best Scottish fry up I have ever had. Thankfully not some kind of trendy beer bar, but a pub for people that love good booze, good food, and a great atmosphere.

2014-06-28. Nice pub, with a relatively traditional pub feel. Front of the bar feels cramped tonight with a stag up front - we had to wade through a field of friendly drunks by the door - but the back is spacious and we relocated to some comfy armchairs. 10 casks on. Selection is pretty decent but nothing super impressive. Offerings from Oakham, Marstons, Ilkley, Kelburn, Skye and more. Live music in the back starts after we sit which is not bad but felt unnecessary. Bartender got me a bandaid after I mysteriously cut my finger. I still have no idea how, possibly the bar stool? Possibly my favorite Glasgow pub in terms of decor but I think I might prefer it during the day with a smaller crowd. Would come back. Cask selection is good enough to find at least one or two ticks for most people, and at least one to have a nice pint of!

Excellent pub. One of the best in Glasgow. A selection of 10 cask ales which change regularly. The bar has an excellent selection of single malt whiskies. In addition if you are looking to fuel up the food is very reasonably priced

A fantastic place to eat and drink, more from an ale rather than beer respect from the draft selection.
But its in the fridges where the hidden beer gems lie!
Chimey blue and red for the belgian fans and Andechs and Konig Ludwig heffe-weizen for the german beer lovers.
Great prices and service from a friendly and knowledgeable team!

Probably the best ale pub in Glasgow with good value beer and great value food. A friendly ambiance and a bustling atmosphere. Good range of ales and, at times, supportive of Scotland’s craft beer scene. Good selection of Whisky and a central location. Cheap and cheerful food and fast service. A bar for all seasons!

A genuine cask ale pub with 10 active pumps of regular and rotating ales, added by a selection of interesting bottled beers and an impressive range of whiskies. The offering of guest ales is displayed on a blackboard behind the bar. I had a few half pints in a very relaxing atmosphere sitting at the Scapa table. Football (Scottish) related decoration. I also noted the spacious and clean toilet room, rather quite unusual for British pubs. Friendly service. Located between the university and city centre (visited 11.04.2012).
