A nice real ale bar in Glasgow. Hearty pub food and a fair range of cask ales. Staff are helpful and the aquarium is a nice touch. Worth checking out.

Lots of cask ales, but VERY expensive compared to others. The beer must subsidise the food which is better value - albeit standard pub fare. Have enjoyed some great ales here and some crap ones too. Live music sometimes. Football TV. WiFi. Toilet smell drifts into bar sometimes.

Come for the beer, stay for the whisky. Actually, no. Come for the whisky, stay for the whisky, and forget about the beer. Their beer selection is unexciting. Focus on the shelves behind the bar. This is a world class whisky bar with an incredible selection of affordable and elite expressions of Scotlandís finest drink. And they just happen to have a few real ales. They also have a showpiece/not-for-sale Brewdog End of History that you can pet. The staff was very friendly, we sat at the bar. Bartender Scott was particularly forthcoming, helping us choose which whisky we wanted, making suggestions and letting us nose several before buying. Had a great time here, and thanks for Tom for encouraging us to visit.

Two vists paid recently. Both very enjoyable. First on 22nd Apr; the two Scottish micro brews were clean and well-kept; whilst one wasnít my cup of tea there was nothing "wrong" with the beer. Adnams Extra was pretty good too. Noted this pub uses sparklers which explains some of the beers tasting different from how us sassernacks down south are used to! Adnams through a sparkler does it no favours, but the beer was pleasant enough! Rant over; second visit was today at lunchtime with a friend during Manchester Utd 3-1 Tottenham. Deuchars IPA about as good as Iíve tasted it anywhere else recently. Staff and locals very friendly; good value food as well. Aim not to be the last to leave at night, 20mins drinking time is observed strictly. Whisky drinkers will be impressed with the range exceeding 200.

Nice place to sit. Looks nice, average selection. And the female sports team sure was a big plus.

Odd location for a pub but they seem to be doing alright. Fairly standard setup though the bar itself is quite nice. Friendly, neighbourhood vibe, the folks behind the bar were exactly like what you see on British soapies (minus all the crazy soapie antics obviously). Loads of interesting beers to try and quite a bit of interesting beer banter around the bar, but in a good way and not in the way that makes you want to punch people. Like it.

Located near a highway. Decent selection of real ales, some bottles. Scotland isnt particularly known for his nice girls, but the female sports-team provided some nice views for us :P

My "local" real ale house. Good atmosphere - quiet during the day, busy at night. Good for watching live football on TV. Very friendly staff who mostly have worked there for a long time. Only pub in Glasgow I know to give free New Year pint to regular customers. Great beer selection, every pint is perfectly presented. Food is standard pub grub of good quality but is amazingly inexpensive. Arguably the best real ale house in Glasgow.
