A tedious journey by public transport, to the end of a tram line then quite a walk! Visited in 2009 when they still brewed, their pils we found better than the dunkles but neither really shone. Won’t bother going back.

This place no longer brews it’s own beers since September 2012. They couldn’t sell it fast enough at the restaurant according to the waitress. They now have Störtebeker beers instead with three on tap and another five in bottles. The brewing equipment is still located inside the restaurant like so many other places in Germany. The place itself is cozy and located in a quiet village just outside of Bremen. The waitress had plenty of time to tell us the story of their past brewing, and why they had stopped. The food was good, without being great. The price level was okay.

Visited this brewpub a couple of times, fits for a pitstop on our way to Belgium :-)
It is placed a bit outside citycenter, so not easy to get to unless you are driving.
Traditionel brewpub, 2 regulars beers and at times they have seasonals as well.
Friendly staff and the food is traditionel german food.

nice destination for a summer outing. a bit outside of bremen, so perfect to go their by bicycle. The beer selection is not big, but that spared me making difficult decisions.

A bit hard to find, since it is some way out of Bremen. A very dark place even when visited just after lunch hours, which seemed to have been busy. Traditionally decorated with red brick, wooden tables and chairs and lots of brass. The service was slow and they only had two standard beers on - and they were not top-notch quality.
