82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 dresden (40) Saskatchewan | April 29, 2013 This is a very nice and open store with lots of incredible beer and a couple of draft lines with a large seating area. Almost all of the beer here is warm, but there are a few coolers as well. Kind of a strange setup with all the beer tightly in the back corner (to avoid light maybe?) but it’s a great store with friendly knowledgeable staff. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Ibrew2or3 (300) Tempe, Arizona | September 2, 2012 Wow, can be a tricky place to find parking. My only visit I lucked out and found a spot right on India Street. Cool space with cold storage and room temperature shelves and a beer bar tasting area. It seems to have a good deal of open floor space but it can still be tight around the small beer isles. They have a nice assortment of local and west coast brews but too much of it is kept at room temperature where fragile pale ales and the like fading away into hop obscurity. The place has an impressive international selection from New Zealand, Japan and the like which is cool beans in my book. Again though I see expensive international pale ales, IPA, fragile German styles sitting out at room temp. I would hate to plunk down $9 or more on one of these only to find out they are way past their prime, so I didn’t. The staff I encountered was super friendly and helpful even with place fairly busy. Even with the draw backs to this place I’ll be back for sure. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 KBS4242 (11) , | August 14, 2012 not bad place pricey ill go for special stuff cheers | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Ober (57) Bommelerwaard, Netherlands | August 2, 2012 lt’s very fortunate that we happened to come by. It seems as notting special We went inside. In the middle a counter with a pay desk and glasses. On the right refrigerations with beer. On the left a table and a other places to sit. In the back a shop with a lot of beers. It was much more then we expect, from the outside. You could buy bottles to take away, or drink them over there. A very good place with friendly staff. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 BrewDad (408) Olympia, | May 8, 2012 One great bottle/ drinking place. Great staff and terrific brews at the ready to take home. You can drink there and they have some great servers. I will be back. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 tkingsbury2 (15) San Diego, California | March 25, 2012 Small bottle shop in Little Italy. Nice combination of good selection and reasonable prices. They don’t have the selection of Clems but way cheaper. Nice blend of local (Ballast, Stone, Alesmith) and international (Mikkeller). | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 MrsRickyisms (2) San Diego, California | November 10, 2011 I’ve been here many times and never disappointed. Since it’s opening it has increased it’s selection nicely. It’s staff is friendly and knowledgeable. So far I’ve found a tasty barrel aged beer in the cooler every time to drink there. I definitely recommend stopping in. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 Jamuligan (3) Jamul, California | November 8, 2011 Bottlecraft is a jewel just outside of downtown San Diego. Friendly, knowledgeable, passionate owner. Great ambiance, tables and stools, you can taste what you buy. Free wi-fi (I’m supposed to be working right now...), and a fantastic beer selection. Also, prices are VERY good. You won’t be disappointed! | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | October 31, 2011 Very nice bottle shop in the Little Italy section of San Diego. Parking is metered, somewhat expensive. Nice interior atmosphere. Retail but with an on-premiss license. Decent prices as well. A few meads and ciders as well as a few beers I haven’t seen before. Great local selection. A few cool items including a Fantome Tulip that I was able to buy. They also offer beer flights, but as of yet have no taps. Worthy stop if you are in the area. Kind of has a wine store/tasting room vibe which is a nice thing for craft beer. | 88 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 dukeredhair (23) California | September 18, 2011 Stopped in here on vacation. They were running a beer class at the time so they weren’t doing flights but the service was good. They have chilled bottles you can buy and open on the spot and bring in your own food. They can also chill the room temp bottles for you in about 10 minutes to go or to stay. The selection isn’t huge but any place with 3 different fantome styles is going to get high marks for selection from me! If I lived anywhere near here I would be cracking a bottle and bringing my own pizza from the little italy pizzerias all the time. I like this idea a lot. |
