Excellent selection. I feel like Iíve exhausted my local area but walked out of there spending almost $400 in single bottles (I didnít buy much outside of OR and WA). Very knowledgeable sales person who threw in a few freebies too. Essential for any visitor to the area, Iíll be back again in a year or two for sure.

This is the best place on earth to buy beer. The place isnít too big or is the price club of beer, but one room full of random beers that you canít find anywhere else. I was in heaven. They had 4 different years of the bigfoot as well as the celebration. I am still drooling over what I saw and only wish I had more money for BEER!!!

After frequenting John's Markeplace for at least 6 months, I thought I would never find a store that would compare. Wrong. This store is easy to find and in a nice area of Seattle close to UW. Atmosphere is great, the staff certainly know their beer. As opposed to JM's, the bottles are well organized and almost all are refrigerated. Excellent selection of NW beers, Belgians, and some hard to find stuff from really small NW breweries. Also they have a lot of cool beer paraphenalia. Now the kicker. Bottleworks sells vintaged beers, yes, I'm not kidding. I've purchased Jubel 2000 and Rogue IS 2000, and seen the likes of Rogue Old Crusy 2000 and Full Sail Old Boardhead 1999. The selection seems to rotate often as well. Rumor has it that the owners have the legendary Lagunitas B2K in storage, and will one day hit the shelves. After a lot of thought, I give this place the edge over JM's and my vote for best bottle store ever.

This place is the best...and 4 blocks from where I live:-) Ordered a case of the LaConner dry hopped IPA from them my first week in town, and havenít bought beer anywhere else since(from a store). The staff is very knowledgable, and you can look online to see what they have recently gotten in. Yeah...the place is small and cramped, but they pack a lot of goodness in there.

I love this place! Bier stored at the correct temperature - imagine that! I just wish that I didnít live 50+ miles away in Marysville. I always leave with more than I planned to get and thatís a good thing! Pablo and Kevin are both very nice & knowledgeable guys. Now Iíll have to find the time to visit their restaurant....

Not sure what BuckeyeBoy was seeing. Prices a little high? A lot lower than in Minnesota. Very nice selection? When BuckeyeBoyís been to a few more places heíll realize that Bottleworksí selection is unmatched as far as I can tell. Itís a beer geekís paradise everything is available in singles and the selection of American craft beers is astounding. The help is knowledgeable. The place looks closed from both the outside and inside because they keep the lights dim to off in order to prevent the beer from getting light struck. This is a beer only place. From what I can tell, they sell no wine, liquor, etc. This is the first all-beer store Iíve ever been to. In a word, amazing.

portlandrunk is absolutely correct, Bottleworks blows John's market out of the water. Where else can you find so many vintage beers and hard to find northwest barleywines. The belgian selection is incredible. My only complaint is they were out of their version of the Laconner IPA. The ambiance was perfect, their bottle collection even featured Bell's Expedition and Dreadnaught bottles. Believe it or not the cashier even bought me an Oerbier glass to go with the Oerbier Reserva 2002 I purchased!
