As far as beer tours go, this is a pretty cool one. The new facility is really something to see and the beer is fantasic. Theyíve always got a few test products for you to try. I got to try the pils and the Tank 7 Saison which was phenomenal. The time I went they had one of the brewers pulling taps so he was very informative and could answer about any question about any of the beers. I canít understand why in the world the tour books up so far in advance but I enjoyed myself none the less.

One of my favorite places in the whole world. Doesnít take as long as the budweiser tour but you get better beer in the end. Only complaint is that had to book tour about 3 months in advance. This wonít be my last tour here.

Went on a personal tour with some friends... head brewer was helpful in explaining some stuff, didnít seem like he had time though... beglian style beers could use some work.. esp. with the masterbrewer from Belgium

Difficult to get in, unless you can go during the week, tours need to be scheduled about 2-3 months in advance. Tap selection varies. They always have their regular beers and you sometimes get lucky with something they are working on.
The mustard is awesome.

I have done the tour several times. Boulevard has a very pretty and unique brewery. The tour itself is very enjoyable, always a good laugh, and great beers. You get samples at the end of the 30-45 minutes tour. On sample currently are all the regular lineup, plus one of the Smokestacks. Blvd has also cycled in some experimental beers here as well, so never really know what you will get. Tours have been selling out crazy early recently, so make sure you plan ahead.
94 = ★★★★Ĺ (World class)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

A fun tour, good way to kill some time on a Saturday if youíre in KC and think ahead to make reservations. Always one or two unusual ones on tap in the tasting room. Pretty good mustard, too. Iíd say itís a must-visit for craft beer fans in the region. Iíd like to get back and see the expansion and new machinery.

Took the tour in Feb. 08 with a couple of local buds and one of their cousins in from Belgium. (He sure has some fine local beer!) The tours were booked weeks in advance, but we got lucky due to a cancellation. The staff seemed well-versed and enthusiatic. The viewing of the actual tanks and plumbing was from well behind glass. I work with machinery and was really hoping to get up close and personal with the hardware. I was way disappointed when we didnít get to see the bottling line. That kind of stuff gives me a kick. At least they were anxious to get us back to the tasting room. Most of their flavors were available, including two of the Smokestack series (yum). So, yeah, I guess it was worth going, just donít expect to see a whole lot. They are generous with the tasting, and I would have really gotten much heavier into the drinking, er, tasting, if it hadnít been 10:30am!

Boulevard Brewing Company offers free tours on Saturdays, and they are very knowledgeable, polite, and generous. The tours are pretty quick, yet thorough, and they end with approximately 45 minutes for the tasting room, where you get full pints of any of the beers on tap that youíd like. You need to call ahead for tour reservations (they get busy around the holidays), but it is a great tour and a great time.
