Terrific little pub in wonderful Edinburgh. A fair collection of craft and cask, and some eyewatering whiskeys. I had a lovely time here, but stayed perhaps a bit too long, he he (there are a good few other places nearby you donít want to miss as well).

Nice selection both on tap and in bottle, despite their main focus being whisky and not beer. Nice atmosphere but terribly small!

One of two places we returned to. Great, small common room with a rather large bar. A s**t-load of whiskys. 6 casks that change fairly regularly. Very friendly service. I always respect when a barman recommends a competitor, because we wer looking for an excact beer. Good brewdogs in bottle. Nice, cozy place.

Quaint little pub, good ale selection, but mobbed on the weekends.

Popular traditional bar with a very minimalistic interior. 8 cask ales, good selection and fairly priced, and a few fancy imported (expensive) kegs. Staff is a bit reserved, in accordance with the vibe of the place. Get there early if you want to sit.

Bow is the shit. Ok, the historic dispensation system doesnít really deliver the best pint, but the selection is large and ever-rotating. The whisky list is killer. The atmosphere is brilliant, historic. A must-visit in Edinburgh. Eat at Oink across the street.

Traditional pub in a fascinating street. Pretty good selection of beer and a very good selection of whiskies. Nice atmosphere.

Another of Edinburghís miracle of miniaturisation bars. A good ever changing selection of real ales. Not many places to sit and can become rammed with suits, but never an unpleasant place to drink, even when full. When quiet itís a splendid hideaway for a pint in Scotlandís capital.

Small but comfortable bar with an extensive and well documented array of whisky and good selection of bottle and draught beers. Definitely a drinking destination as there is nothing else besides the company of your friends and the staff to occupy you here, as it should be! Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on whisky and beer. Pricing seemed very fair in the heart of the tourist area.
