stopped in on a whim this past friday was at oiishi for lunch. so i dragged my daughter in there with me. just started to look around and notice a couple different beers i hadnt seen before. i thought ok nice but asked the man at the counter if he sold singles and was told no. detraction. they do have a growler station even though i didnt see the taps or just over looked them so i dont know their prices on that. otherwise just underwhelming is all nothing fancy by any stretch i am sure the neighborhood in behind appreciates them being there.

Time to update this one as well. PROS: They do have a growler station now (7-8 taps) and their bottle selection has definitely improved. The clerk (or owner?) working there seemed quite friendly, and he also let me know that they will fill anyone’s growler (not just their own). This is very close to Oishii Sushi (my favorite sushi in the city) so it has that going on. CONS: Still a dingy, ugly little store. The selection has improved, but it’s still pretty underwhelming compared to Old Town about ten minutes away, and certainly not in the same league as Keg or LBS. Growler station selection was not very diverse (IPA IPA IPA). OVERALL: Pretty much just a local stop; nothing to plan a trip around, and one could certainly see the best of Louisville without stopping here.

Right across from Bowman Field airport, this is a small liquor store with a decent beer selection. A few Belgians and Unibroue make up for the macros that dominate the beer coolers. I was able to pick up a single of Blanche de Chambly and Nostradamus fairly cheap. They even have a drive-through if you know exactly what you want.
