56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 Savvy1982 (70) Lethbridge, Alberta | September 15, 2012 Heard there were two new breweries open in Great Falls, so I dropped in to check them out. The place is surprisingly large, and welll laid-out, with several tables and a reasonably long bar. Tap lists are presented on the back of old licence plates, which is unique. They had 9 or 10 offerings on tap, I tried the Electric City IPA, which was an insanely buttery trainwreck of a beer, and the Jalapeno Hefeweizen, which was surprisingly okay. They don’t serve food, apart from peanuts and popcorn, but they provide menus from a pizza place and a BBQ place which are apparently nearby and will deliver to your table. Kind of an awkward arrangement, but I guess they’re just starting out. Worth a stop, but leave that IPA alone unless you really hate yourself. I would rank Bert & Ernies, The Front, and the Stenhaus ahead of this place, but it’s worth a stop. |
