I visited this place a few times during the course of a three day stay in Cork and I was impressed with the wide selection of beers from countries ranging from US, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Iceland and Germany. The selection clearly carried evidence of somebody knowing what was good beer. The service was competent and helpfully minded. I managed to find a few vintage gems during my visits as well. The prices are perhaps a bit on the high end but quality comes at a price I suppose. The locally sourced food and delicatessen available here are a big plus and help to create nice ambience. Of the three off-licenses I visited during my stay in Ireland this one had the best selection by far.

Fantastic beer selection, top quality wines and some top shelf whiskeys. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Over the last couple of years they’ve really improved the front of the shop, bringing in lots of artisan food products. They support quality local businesses too.

A knowledgeable, friendly owner, and the best beer selection I’ve ever encountered in Ireland. Combine that with the artisan food selection, and you’ve got a unique store dedicated to pleasing your taste buds. Great city center location.

Bradleys Off-license has a wonderful selection of beer and whisky. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about his stock. The prices are a little high but you cannot get a lot of the stock anywhere else, you get what you pay for. High quality and highly recommended. The grocery section has a fantastic selection of artisan foods produced locally.

Bradleys has really emerged in the past few years as a genuine rival to the Abbot Ale House as Cork’s best craft beer off-licence. They have always been excellent for spirits, liquors etc, but their beer selection has been improving steadily for quite a while now.
The selection is smaller then the Abbot Ale House, but it’s far more consistent and there’s less filler. The small Irish breweries are very well represented, and there’s a surprisingly big selection of English beers. Where it lags behind it’s rival is in Belgian, American and German beers. However Mikkeller and Nogne offerings are available so there is clearly a commitment to quality European beer.
