Very good decoration and ambiance but... Iíd heard of the really good food but when I finally tasted, it was nothing really special (e.g. the burger was almost tasteless). The prices were ok only for the taps. Most of the bottles were really expensive and the taps were really nothing special. Service ok. Would like to go back again but just to drink.

Went here on a recent trip to Rome. After reading the great reviews I has high expectations but was somewhat disappointed. We went on Friday night and most of the taps were empty. Selection was, decent but not world class. Ambience and service were nice. Didnít eat dinner there but had Chips which were great. Had a few of their Revelation Cat brews, they were good.

What a really, really cool place. The beer management makes a HUGE point to have some very rare beers. This is also basically a brewpub for írevelation catí. Itís beautiful, the staff is great, and the beer is awesome. Unfortunately, it has a commercialized feel. We all know íthatí brewpub that is packed with novices. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and nice, but thereís also a lot of customers who walk in and order shots of tap vodka and then walk to the club down the street. This is absolutely a must-visit, but try to visit when itís not busy.

This is a really great place. Up to this point is difficult to reach by public transport. But the beer and the atmosphere is awesome.

Visited a couple of times over my stag weekend in Roma, June í13. Split over 2 levels the downstairs is the main room and bar, clean cut functional metallic feel to the place with a hotch potch of tables and chairs. Upstairs is a sheltered roof top area with a small bar offering a limited range of the beers available. The night we came up here there was also free buffet food available (6-7pm on Saturday). A good 50 or 60 beers available on tap, plenty from Rev Cat, lots of other Italian brewers and I stumbled across a real treat in the form of Struise Popaholic (just the 19 rates blended originally for the RBESG í10). Service was prompt although I tended to hit on 420 at non busy times, either early evening or late night 2.30/3 am. Great bar, a good 30/40 minute walk from the centre of Roma or alternatively grab a tram or train to Trastavere and then a 5 or so minute walk. Great bar and unlike the previous review we must have had a bar keep with decent musical taste as the Stone Roses album was on in full during both of our visits!

It is a friendly bar and I really wanted to like it. First, the good points, they have quite a few taps of house beers under the Revelation Cat brand, a few guest taps, and their own house liquor. The architecture is unique. It is built into an old railway bridge or similar industrial structure with internal brick barrel vaulting. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to give you tastes. Now, the downsides. The location isnít great, in an outskirt of Trastevere on an ugly main road, and lacking the characterful charm of the heart of the Trastevere district. That could have easily be forgiven, but for the fact that the interior atmosphere inside is that of a corporate student bar. The music ranged from boring to lame or both, ie. Oasis, Weezer. Mason jars are used for almost all pours, which is cute but not for presenting good beer. And the most important thing is the beer, which was unfortunately not good. This could also be forgiven if one or two beers were off, but we tried a lot and I struggled with pretty much everything. The first round was filled with duds--a vegetal pils and a dull IPA. We got a few tasters after that, and nothing was really working. One of the sours tasted immature and yeasty. However, another was a marsala barrel lambic and was nice (I ordered a pint) but not outstanding. It was probably the best thing on offer. The bulk of the menu focus is on higher ABV and wacky beer as opposed to fine craftsmanship. Because of the types of beer on offer and the atmosphere, the place is very American in character. The guest taps were things like Rogue and a barrel-aged dubbel. No one was eating, so I doubt I would either. They do have something called "hop burger." I wish I could say kinder things about the place, as they were super nice to us, but please understand this is not even in the same league as Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa, which is absolutely deserving of its accolades.

Very nice place, great beers and food. The list with the bottled beers is really big, and the prices also.....
