Odd little café which was very hard to find. It has a very down-to-earth, authentic atmosphere. They only had two regulars on tap, but both were very good. They did have the Christmas beer in bottles too. Great place to go and see if you’re in the neighborhood (visited April 19, 2014)

We dropped by late on a Monday afternoon and were lucky enough to sit down with Dany for a couple.
We were given a tour of the very ramshackle brewery and tried the "Classique" and "Summer Beer" off tap and were sent on our way with another bottle of the "Classique" and Fantôme de Noël.
Visiting the brewery is an exceptionally unique experience, even by Belgian standards.
A must of any Belgian trip if you travel even remotely close to the brewery.

La brewery esta sucia y desordenada. El tap room más de lo mismo. En los tiradores cervezas especiales de fantome y de botella a muy buen precio

Odd place in the middle of nowhere. Old lady serves Fantome Citron and regular from draft. Calm and quiet. Only regulars. Only the normal Fantome to go. The Citron was something going completely wrong with syrup added. Limited opening hours. Not much English are spoken.

Soy is a small place, it can hardly be called a town. I did not even see a shop and tourist do not have to bother to take the detour to Soy. But, for beer geeks it is certainly worth a pilgrimage! What a place! Saison and Pissenlit on tap and in bottles. Black Ghost and the new Camembert Tour de France 2012 in bottles. Pissenlit fresh from tap was my first beer this day. A good choice! The brewer himself showed up and gave me a brief brewery tour. Interesting, and it is for sure a real microbrewery! And for those who wondering, he speaks English! If I only could stay a bit longer! But, my wife was eager to move on... (Visited July 5th 2012)

Turned up ’out the blue’ on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Sept 2008 and joined a brewery trip organised by a bunch of beer lovers from Brussels (thanks lads). They translated for me too, as Danny Prignon only does French (I think).
The bar it’s self is very rustic and basic. There is motorbike above your head and a ghost is hanging around the door. The little garden/grass area at the front has one large oblong table, which appeared to be for the family. There is a very small terrace at the back, otherwise you sit in the main bar room with its bar, fridge and stairway to the brewery.
I had the summer special, which was the standard Blanche with grapefruit juice added (Blanche Pampelmouse). The girls had the standard Fantom Saison, the only other beer on tap.
As an aside, I couldn’t believe how much sugar he added to the beers, an incredible ammount in my opinion, but his beers are great, so what do I know?

It was really nice, meeting Dany, chatting with him about beer and brewing. Trying out some of the beers he had in stock and on tap, then chatting away with the regulars in the bar. It made for a very pleasant afternoon after the disappointments at Achouffe, Inter-Pol and 3 Fourquets. I’ll definitely come back!

Visited on a Saturday during our recent trip to Belgium. Emails were exchanged with Dany ahead of time and he said to show up at 2 on a Saturday and he would show us around. Drive from Brussels took us about an hour and the area was absolutely stunning. Tons of farm land and nice little local town we hit up just before hitting the brewery. Dany along with his sister and mom showed up and got the tasting room opened up then invited us in. Two beers on draft, the Noel and standard Saison. We got one of each then followed Dany into the back and he gave us the tour of his brewery from start to finish. We talked about his most recent contract brew, Magic Ghost, and he told us his solution for making it green as requested. We asked him if we could buy any and he only had a couple of things available in bottles, but said he had a keg and happily put it on for us to try. What a treat that was! The Ghost is serious grooving! We ended up finishing our beers and then buying some bottles to take home. Great experience and one of the top highlights of my Belgium trip. Thanks again Dany!
