Very fresh and light place with a nice view over the canal. Only their own beer on tap, but I liked them. The dunkel was great! Friendly staff, not too chatty though. It’s not the end of the world if you miss this place, but it’s kind of central so it’s a good waterhole while strolling the city.

Nice place with good space and good view of the copper used for brewing. I had their three regulars and their märzen so they must have 4 taps and not 3 taps as is shown. Beers were all fresh and good quality and were all quite malty.

Visited on a Friday night in July ’08. Quite a well furnished modern brewpub by the canals in the centre of Hamburg. Good atmosphere - pretty busy, we just stood up around a table and worked our way through the house beers which were adequate. Ok modern brewpub but nothing to rave over.

Have visited this downtown brewpub a couple of times. Can at times be very crowded. It is a brewpub, with both regular and season beers, but it is more a restaurent, meaning they are not that much inte the beers. The food are lovely german dishes, if you are in the citycenter of Hamburg, it´s a nice place to make a pitstop.

The serivce was great here, I was having troubles to express myself in German and from the moment they noticed they brought a menu in English and we were served by a waiter who is fluent in English. Very friendly people really! Beer selection was okay and the beers we had were nice, up to the standard but not much more than that. The food was good! I’ll go back when in Hamburg cause they have a lot of typical German dishes on the menu :)

Nice mix of old and modern in a central location. Three beers on offer, all well made but uninspired, in typical German brewpub fashion. I didn’t eat but the food looked good. Service was good by local standards, by which I mean slow but friendly! Prices are typical for the area. (PS. the WiFi code is 12345678.)

Cozy brewpub right by the Alster. The interior is a confusing mix of new and old. They have three beers on tap plus a radler and in my case a really nice Christmas beer. The beers were generally good. The food was nice and solid German style meals. The service was very polite and helpful when we first came in, but when the placed filled with lunch guests they became very slow and even forgot a round of beers in spite of two reminders! A bit expensive.

A relaxed place in the Hamburg city center. Good service. The beers are Ok, nothing more or less. Didn’t try the food, but it looked nice.

Great location right on the water. Large space with good pub fare and a decent selection of their own beers. Nice for lunch while you’re touring.
