Traditional brauhaus. Brown walls and several rooms. Ok kölsch, good food with big portions. Typical semirude male servers.

Great but typical Kölsch Brauhaus, one beer and ofcourse Kölsch. No logo’s on the glasses, only on the beermats. So its have an exclusive feel.

About a 30 minute walk from the hotel, but well worth the visit. A very large place with multiple rooms inside, and a central outdoor courtyard, with a fine view of the copper brewing equipment in the building behind. Quite busy on a Tuesday evening, but the place was so large there were still tables available in the courtyard. Waitstaff had a menu in my hands in a minute, but it took almost 5 for the beer (!). It was worth it though; an extremely crisp and clean Kolsch. Refills were prompt in the standard Koln style of replacing your glass when empty without asking unless covered with your coaster. Food was perhaps a tad bit pricy, but it was good and quick. Nice place, with a lot of character.

Lovely place visited 2 times during my short visit to Cologne. The best Kolsch, service and food, together with a nice patio out back where you can enjoy eating and drinking in the shadow. Crowded at both my visits, the waiters was busy, but efficient. Good food selection, a place to relax and enjoy

Well, I guess you need to see this place when you’re in Cologne. I agree that this is the best Kölsch from Cologne. Besides that it’s a crowded and standard Kölsch Brauhaus.

The brewpub has two rooms in an old building. Rustic charm and good beer, but without anything special. Not too small not too large.

Excellent place for city’s local specialty - koelsch beer. Naturally they serve only one brew - koelsch, but it’s really great.

Visited Tuesday 3rd March .. Very classic kolsch beer Gastätte .. In my opinion the best kolsch in town .. The place is obviosly full of tables benches and seats and is quite large .. Service was good in average of cologne .. We were here for lunchtime so it wasn’t very crowded so a 1 less for the ambience ..

Visited on a Thursday at 11:00 a.m. so the place was completely empty and it’s really hard to tell about the ambiance. The place is large and looks really authentic. Nice wooden tables and beautiful interior. Service was very rude at first (the guy had to pick a barrel just for us), but he became almost friendly when we ordered a 2nd glass. Selection is of one beer only, but it’s the best Kölsch in town by a mile. We didn’t try the food. Price was 1,60 euros for 20 cl, which is amazing considering how good the beer is and also cheaper than most of the places downtown. Really nice place that I will hopefully be able to visit again someday when it’s crowded.
