we found this place, when we going to an KISS concert at the near König Pilsener Arena. Tasted the four beers and enjoyed an meal at their terras at the waterside. Nice place for 5000 people.

Situated in a renewed area near the Rheine-Herne canal, on the waters, it’s a very nice surrounding in the evening. English is spoken but not much care overall. Beers are flawed (diacetyl), the Gruben Gold being the only good one here, with mild grassy hop character. Beers not too cold.

Have been there today and unfortunately crashed into many, many Iron Maiden fans who had a beer or two before their concert. Luckily we found a nice table on the patio just beside the little pond. Service was okay but not really friendly in terms of hearty. I wanted to order the beer testing offer ( their four regulars and one saisonal - each 0.1l for 4,10€), but unfortunately I was told by the waitress, that this offer is "sold out"(?), yet each beer could be ordered. What a pity and little dissapointement. Beers were okay, luckily not served that cold like in other brewpubs. Food selection was okay but little bit overpriced. Parking is no problem, there are plenty of carparks for the Centro-the big shopping mall just opposite of the brewpub. I would go there again because it is a nice atmosphere, surrounding and patio, but it will probably never become one of my favourite brewpubs to go to.
