3rd stop, 2nd day of RBESG. A few benches inside and outside the brewery. Friendly service. The beer was all good, solid and clean.

A tiny indoor and outdoor space in the working brewery. Fairly open to the elements, so be prepared on a hot or cold day. Service was great, they know their stuff and put the customer first. It was the best service I have received on my trip to date. Prices were good and they had large selection of their beers which were mostly good. Well worth a stop.

Both the brewery and the tap room itself seem to have gone from strength to strength since inception. BBNo is most certainly a highlight on any Saturday Bermondsey beer tour. They are located under a railway arch and have a small yet decent amount of seating both inside and outside the brewery. They offer a pretty wide selection of their own beer on draught (@£3 a go) and in bottles, available to drink in or take-out. Beer quality is high and so is the service provided by staff. Now even better that they open from 10am! A Beermondsey must-visit.

Une file interminable mais en regardant les bières disponibles, je comprend mieux. Un autre incontournable dans la traversée de Bermondsey.

(Visited Apr 2014) One of the micro breweries along the railway arch south-east of London Bridge. This one is just a couple of hundred metres west of The Kernel. Quite small place, with a few seats inside and a small area outside. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Brewery tours were available as well. They had 6 or 7 of their own beers on tap and some bottles available. Only tried one, which was excellent. The clientèle is more or less the same as at the other railway arch breweries. The toilet queue can become an issue after a while. The beers seem to be very good and this walk is a good idea for a Saturday afternoon, so I’ll be back for more.

Another railway arch, another brewery. This had the most interesting beers of the day and everything is well signed. It was full on our visit with us Hicksters and other visitors overwhelming them a little. This creates problems at the front and drinkers had to be policed into not wondering too far. Best to go on a dry warmish day as you may suffer otherwise. Clean and open inside, the queue for the toilet can be long.

Another brewery in a railway arch in Bermondsey just a few minutes walk from the Kernel so hit them both on the same trip. Brew By Numbers is very clean and modern and generally more pleasant to drink in than the other breweries in the area. Several picnic tables inside as well as some benches and additional space outside. Pretty small but rarely feels overcrowded. Prices are decent, all beers are £3. Good selection of their beers on tap and in bottle. Service is great. The staff all know their beer.

Can’t fault it. I was served tasty fresh beer by friendly knowledgeable staff, and drank it out in the sun. Good vibe here. In the heart of the beer action in London. Good one for a beer tourist. Reminds me of how the Kernel used to be when it was at its first location.
