Pleasant and cozy beer bar that showcases the Croucher range, including seasonals. Guest beer from Mata on my visit. Food options are decent, tasty and of good value. For the area itís hands down the pick of the limited beer venues. Enjoyed thoroughly.

Located downtown among a bunch of restaurants in the covered pedestrian area Eat Street. Indoor and outdoor seating. It is local brewery Croucherís taproom, but there were a few guest beers too. The ANZUS and Singletrack IPAís and even the 2.5% Lowrider IPA were horribly diacetyly. Probably a temporary draft line issue, since Iíve had some of the same beers elsewhere and theyíre fine. Not good but hopefully will be cleaned up, so Iím not rating them too harshly for it until I get back there for a 2nd visit. The Patriot black IPA was clean and tasty.

November 2013. Mainly Croucher beers on tap, very busy on our visit, but service from the staff was good. Food was good and reasonable for the money.

Taps split almost evenly between Croucher and guests on my visit at modest prices (for NZ) particularly for the former. Spacious both inside and out. Friendly, courteous bar staff and relaxed atmosphere within the cityís dining area aptly named íEat Streetí. Small bottle selection. Food looked good and well priced; I didnít sample though others assured of its quality.

Enjoyed 2 tasting trays with plenty of IPAs. Also had a Patriot in bottle as it was not on tap. Open mic night was entertaining. Best place for beer in Rotorua, no doubt.

This is the brewery tap for Croucher, and it doubles as a coffee roastery during the day. Itís in a small pedestrianized area, but there is parking in the nearby streets. They had six Crouchers beers on when I visited, as well as two guests from brand new local breweries. A guy was playing Johnny Cash tunes on a guitar and a kazoo while his wife played some sort of electric box thing, very entertaining. The food was tasty pub fare. Beer samplers are available, four for $18, or $20 with nibbles. Well worth a stop.

Enjoyed the full Croucher range here and got a bottle of the PAtriot BIPa to take away (carry-out disacount!) Met with the brewer who happened to be in for a post-work pint and friendly staff too. Food menu and coffee both looked good but alas had already eaten. Two seasonals on from mata at the time. plenty of pavement space for outside dining in warmer months

Home of Croucher but with some other beers on tap and in bottle. Not a very big or exclusive selection, but it is a nice cosey place with a friendly staff. Food is just okay. Donít expect haute cuisine, but decent fish & chips.
