90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 RawKuz (11) , Norway | February 22, 2013 Probasbly the besdt place for Beer in Amsterdam. Got the full lineup from Brewdog, and some great beers from 8wired and Mikkeller also. Small comfy place, with great atmosphere and great prices (compared to Norwegian) | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 flying_pig (29) , Scotland | January 21, 2013 One of the better Brewdog bars I’ve been in, good atmosphere and quite busy; although it was the weekend on both nights I visited. Music was playing but not too loud and whilst busy, you could still find a seat. Selection was decent, a good mix of beers on draft for a change with something for most tastes. Didn’t go in for food but I noticed that the bar didn’t offer much anyway, other than some basic, cold bar snacks. Still a good pub and one of the best in Aberdeen. Bar staff had some good recomendations too. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 itaste (37) , | December 7, 2012 I’ve been there two years ago and at that time the selection was not ok yet. But very nice ambient and service. I enjoyed my afternoon! | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 19/20 HecRotweiler (1) Drammen, Norway | September 17, 2012 The bar has a very nice selection of beers. Fresh IPA’s on tap is was extremely nice. Not very classical British/Scottish style of the bar, but personally i like it very much. The really only decent “micro brewery”/”craft beer” place I have found in Aberdeen. A really "must" to visit if you like beer and is in any where near Aberdeen. | 42 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 5/20 sic1314 (229) Leiden, Netherlands | May 28, 2012 Horrible place full of overpriced beers served far too cold. Emperors new clothes. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 nate2g (443) Boomtown! / Waikato, New Zealand | May 27, 2012 The original Brew Dog bar, though the others have all been modelling on the initial concept. Beer selection is what you expect to spot in their other bars. Lively atmosphere. Nicely priced bottles of lambic are more than welcomed, which is what we usually stick to. As the BD mantra goes, it’s keg here only folks, no cask. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Big_Dunc (6) Glasgow, England | April 29, 2012 Great guys, great beer and great food. Could you ask for more. A must visit bar for anyone in Aberdeen that appreciates a great craft beer. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 18/20 JBud (12) , England | April 27, 2012 The place has a good atmosphere, it’s "industrial" style decor works well and it’s never empty (whilst visiting the other night there was live music which was a nice bonus).
Obviously the bar has an extensive selection of BrewDog beers, and I get the impression there’s a better selection than the London bar due to it’s proximity to the brewery. As well as the flagship BD beers they also manage to rotate the selection to include new and prototype beers. The bottle menu is again varied with a number of top class American crafts available, as well as craft beer from Japan and Scandanavia.
I find the BD bars in general are a bit on the pricey side, but the selection and quality of beer does (to an extent) justify this.
This is my go to bar in Aberdeen. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 rosenbergh (334) Helsinki, Finland | March 2, 2012 Visited Sat night. Way too crowded to be truly enjoyable. Quite big though. Incredible selection of BrewDog brews and even more incredible selection of other great breweries available. BrewDog style deco. High prices. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (390) London, England | February 17, 2012 I like BrewDog’s bars. Their bars offer a nice departure from more traditional British pubs and also host a pretty solid range of beers. This bar has a nice, industrial feel to it, all exposed brick and steel. It was Hitachino night when I visited so there were five offerings from the brewery to complement the seven or so from BrewDog. Some of the beers are definitely a bit expensive here (£4.95 for a half of some Hitachino) but you can always just get some Punk or 77 Lager for under £4.00. I will say, though, that at £6.00 the cheese and meat platter is an absolute bargain. The bar also has an exceptional bottle list; on this visit we made our way through Cantillon Vigneronne and Iris, Drie Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek and Stone RIS. It was a good night! |
