A great range of craft and locally brewed beers for Asia, I was so happy to find it. The best place in the area by a very long way.

Sat on the patio, but also went in to have a look there. Good brewpub, but not outstanding: The selection consists of a bit more than 10 beers and contains also their best brews. Service was knowledgeable about what they serve. Value was good, but I was there in the afternoon where many things are a lot cheaper.

Just along the riverside from Sque. Massive and, in 1997, groundbreaking. However .... why did the dozen or so traveling gents who propped up the bar mid afternoon intent on drinking either pints or serious assortment have to be bombarded with third-generation cloned heavy metal music, and why would be want to watch the German Bundesliga or South Korean premier league? And are a dozen decent bottled beers enough for a beer bar in a rising star beer country? If you have helped to make a market in beer you have to keep up with your customers and know what challenges them or else what they are likely to like.

Brewpub in the bar area in Singapore. Have 10-12 beers on tap and some bottles. Nice and friendly staff. Went to the bar twice and had samplers of 5-6 of the beers.

Sat on the patio. Nice and calm place with a somewhat slow but very kind service. Place outside a bit anonymous, but inside Quite ok. They had 12 something beers on tab at my visit and a couple more (of their own) on Bottle. 20 something foreign beers were on the bottlel list as well. Food was good. Prices ok.

Iíve been here a few times now and it never fails to please. The beers are numerous and generally good, without being outstanding. Both the IPA and Oatmeal Stout I enjoyed. The location is excellent for people watching from the outdoor seating area. The pricing structure is a little complicated (the later you are there the more expensive it is) and indeed probably too expensive if you want to drink in the evening. Still, all in all, a must visit for any beer fan visiting Singapore.

Visited on Halloween,
which was crazy busy,
seems like mostly expats and tourists getting pissed, the volume of people pumping in this place was astonishing,
food pretty standard touristy fare, and beers unfortunately not great,.

Big open quay-side restaurant with about ten own brews on tap and ~30 others in bottles. It quite a comfortable place, but more in terms of the waterside location than the feeling of a beer drinkers bar. The service was always good, and occasionally great. The food I tried was good bar food, but thereís a lot better if you are looking primarily for a meal.

Iím getting close to 400 breweries and brewpubs visited in North America and Asia, and I can distinctly remember the very best and the very worst. I would put this as one of the worst brewpubs Iíve ever been to.
The location is in a very tourist-oriented area, so I didnít have high expectations. Like most other spots on Clarke Quay, the restaurant features a large, popular patio along the river, but also an internal section with a bar. The bar area is extremely loud. I sat at the bar, taking one of the only spots available, which was facing a pole and not terribly easy to reach. Basically, the spot should not have been in the first place.
I asked for and was given a water and mentioned that I wanted a sampler, but was then ignored. Some other people left, so I just moved to a better part of the bar, but was still ignored for several minutes.
Their pricing has several levels and I found it to be particularly confusing: prices changed based on time of day, while some beers were on a more expensive tier, and others not available in certain sizes. I tried to ask if some of the higher tier beers were available in the sampler, but instead it was clear that I was not allowed to ask any questions, so I just tried to order them, and it seemed to work.
I had the IPA, the Black Pig, the Black Rabbit and the Hoppy Monk. They came out fairly quickly, were plopped on the bar, and I was left alone.
The IPA was bad. It had that sort of sick sweetness that you get in kit beer versions of IPAs. The hop character was lost.
The "black" beers were not really black, more of a sickly brown. The Black Pig did not taste good and could not figure out what style of beer it was trying to be, because I could taste several different things. The Black Rabbit was the most tolerable of the lot, but it was also hard to tell what it was trying to be.
The Hop Monk was, to me, the most disappointing because, on the menu, it had its own half page devoted to it. But it tasted, if anything, like vomit and I couldnít finish it.
I got the same cold reaction when paying that I had gotten the whole night.
My original plan was to try multiple breweries while in Singapore, but, if this is the best there is, then god help you. I still lived in Singapore in 1997, the year the brewery was purpotedly founded. This was when Clarke Quay was just developing, and I recall coming down for a free flow, which I believe was a relatively new concept at that time. But I donít remember this place. Maybe I would like it more if I had more nostalgia toward it, or if it was my only option. But, if youíre in town, you should skip this.

Visited in 2006. They had a wide selection of their own beers back then. Think it was about 12-14 bers or so. Located in an area with lots of restaurants. The beers where decent, service as well. We ate at a restaurant across the river.
