Ok spot with a decent selection of local, regional and international beers. Service was just ok, but wasn’t looking for any help.

This place doesn’t have much on an ambiance to it. It’s clean, well-lit, and organized, almost to the point of being a little sterile. They have a nice selection of Canadian beers, and I would’ve spent more money, but just wanted to take it easy to start off 2015. I left with some good bottles though, and the brewers didn’t disappoint. With that, I wasn’t too terribly impressed with their imports (outside of the US), but I’m used to that in Seattle, so no real change. I was surprised to see Brooklyn beers here reasonably priced, so that’s pretty cool. Since I live in the US, I didn’t even bother looking at the US selection as most were fairly more expensive than what I could pay for them here, and the selection itself wasn’t as extensive. All in all, it was a great experience, but I’m going to have to say that I wasn’t blow away. If this is the best Vancouver has to offer, beer store wise, I am quite afraid. Lastly, since the exchange rate is in my favor, the prices aren’t too terrible, but they are still for the US stuff.

Not a bad place for rarities and decent regional selection but the prices are rather high. Good selection in fridges with some more shelves along the back. Worth a stop while beer hunting in the city but it shouldn’t be your only stop.

Decent selection, although no real rarities, friendly staff, above-average prices.

A wonderful store no doubt. A bustlin’ crowd around but still nice to wander and browse the shelves. Many international brews and a heavy focus on Oregon micros. Grabbed a Logsdon saison to go. Staff at counter was chatty considering the flow of customers.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Big selection of beer, much of which is refrigerated. Selection is mostly BC, USA, Europe. Found a few De Molens here on my want list. Now we come to the downside - the prices. This is an expensive place, as I understand all private liquor stores in BC are. For example, 6-pack of Lagunitas IPA was $18. Compare that to the $7 I paid in a convenience store in Portland, OR. Nonetheless, given no other places with this type of selection, I could spend a lot of money here if I lived in Vancouver.

One of the best beer selections in Vancouver. They seem to get some small quantities of stuff that I don’t see in other stores, from great breweries like De Molen, Mikkeller, BrewDog. Their layout seems a little unpredictable, so I have to check every shelf carefully each time I visit. The staff are very helpful. CAMRA members get 10% discount.
