I found the staff quite knowledgable and really trying to bring in a variety of american micros. Although pricey the selection is fairly good.

This place doesnít have much on an ambiance to it. Itís clean, well-lit, and organized, almost to the point of being a little sterile. They have a nice selection of Canadian beers, and I wouldíve spent more money, but just wanted to take it easy to start off 2015. I left with some good bottles though, and the brewers didnít disappoint. With that, I wasnít too terribly impressed with their imports (outside of the US), but Iím used to that in Seattle, so no real change. I was surprised to see Brooklyn beers here reasonably priced, so thatís pretty cool. Since I live in the US, I didnít even bother looking at the US selection as most were fairly more expensive than what I could pay for them here, and the selection itself wasnít as extensive. All in all, it was a great experience, but Iím going to have to say that I wasnít blow away. If this is the best Vancouver has to offer, beer store wise, I am quite afraid. Lastly, since the exchange rate is in my favor, the prices arenít too terrible, but they are still for the US stuff.

Not a bad place for rarities and decent regional selection but the prices are rather high. Good selection in fridges with some more shelves along the back. Worth a stop while beer hunting in the city but it shouldnít be your only stop.

A wonderful store no doubt. A bustliní crowd around but still nice to wander and browse the shelves. Many international brews and a heavy focus on Oregon micros. Grabbed a Logsdon saison to go. Staff at counter was chatty considering the flow of customers.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Big selection of beer, much of which is refrigerated. Selection is mostly BC, USA, Europe. Found a few De Molens here on my want list. Now we come to the downside - the prices. This is an expensive place, as I understand all private liquor stores in BC are. For example, 6-pack of Lagunitas IPA was $18. Compare that to the $7 I paid in a convenience store in Portland, OR. Nonetheless, given no other places with this type of selection, I could spend a lot of money here if I lived in Vancouver.

One of the best beer selections in Vancouver. They seem to get some small quantities of stuff that I donít see in other stores, from great breweries like De Molen, Mikkeller, BrewDog. Their layout seems a little unpredictable, so I have to check every shelf carefully each time I visit. The staff are very helpful. CAMRA members get 10% discount.

On this one, I believe Ratebeer is trustworthy as Brewery Creek was my favourite store in vancouver. On a busy portion of Main St., you enter the into the wine section of this darkish store that does not seem so big at first, but as you step toward the rear to the beer section, there is a lot of stuff. From what Iíve seen, the best selection of Belgian ales in the city. And on the opposite wall, refrigerators are filled with a hundred or so of the best BC bottled offerings, so I assume they are fresher. Coincidentally, itís the only store I went to in Vancouver where other beer geeks were browsing the selection. The latter is I found was the best in the city, but not necessarily by a great margin. They probably had the most American Pacific northWest offerings including fun stuff like Cascade sour ales, Hopworks and Ninkasi. The store was probably the most pleasant to be in though. What helps in that regard is that the staff was friendly, hip and apparently very knowledgeable - certainly a strong point for this store.
