When I visited: Mid-October 2014. What I had: Samples of Waterloo Classic Pilsner and IPA, and assorted Brick beers. What I liked: Beautiful looking retail store with exposed brick throughout, cozy tasting room/onsite pub exudes tons of charm, amicable service, theyíve got all the elements of a great craft brewery here, itís just that the beer is lacking. What I disliked: Most of their beers are terrible, we couldnít find any seats on our visit, they seem to attract a BroBible crowd. Would I go back? Probably not, but it was fun to visit once. Overall Rating: 62

Various visits. It used to be a great place to stop and get some ticks with their mixed six packs but they were not doing that anymore the last time I was there. Gift shop has merch available. Tours were available and depending who you was serving included generous portions. Worth a stop if you are in the neighbourhood but not worth a special trip unless you are a huge fan of the brewery.

On main street 5 minutes away from Lion brewpub/brewery. On Saturday they had sampler event which was nice. Friendly staff. Beers were as expected.

This place is fun if you go for the Brewery tour or sSaturday Tastings. But the only real potable beers there are some seasonals and Waterloo Dark.

Decent location and a a good stop for a craft brew tourist. Thy are well past thier craft days and have moved into larger scale / lower quality brews. The place itself is nice with a larger then average retail store. That beign said its now a 5 minute walk from my new houise and I havenít visited.

Like Waterloo Dark. Surprising mellow taste and finish for such dark beer.

Ahh, the old Brick Brewery, one of the original craft beer pioneers in Ontario. Too bad the stuff they make today is mediocre-at-best, and the company is currently better known for their peculiar conflicts and controversyís with now former owner JR Brickman. Endless material here for comedy, but I guess I should just rate the place. Nice semi-old looking building with some character. Beer store is a small corner at the back of the building thatís basically just a lobby for the brewery itself. Friendly staff and ample product available all the time. Brewery offers somewhat interesting tours and a bar/lounge area for (primarily) university students to get ham............ well, you know. Hey at least theyíre drinking OCB stuff. Not something to go far out of your way for, but if youíre in the area and the notoriously dubious service at the Huether has got you down, check it out (or just chill out in the public square, or go to Matter of Taste for great artisanal coffee, or Whole Lotta Gelotta for gellato, etc. itís a nice area).
