This was my first stop during yesterdayís trip to Indiana. Seems like there was some kind of construction going on, and only 4 parking spots, so I had to park 2 blocks away. No big deal. Inside, itís a little dim, but pleasantly rustic. Dark wood and photos and paintings everywhere, themed like a classic English pub, it seems. After visiting the toilet (clean and satisfactory) I sat down at a small L-shaped bar. The bartender was friendly and patient. I got a taster of all 8 beers on tap (2 from cask), and she was kind enough to line them up in the order that they were on the menu. No guest ales on draft, just the 8 house brews, they were solid but not much stood out. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and would return while in the area to check out whatís new.

This spot is super old and due for an upgrade, but sort of reminds me to an old German bar. The beers were ok, but nothing stood out. Iíd stick to Brugge Brasserie when in this area.

Stopped by while visiting Brugge. Atmosphere was good and the selection was solid. Beer was a little pricy for their guest bottle selection, but theirs were reasonable, and service was solid. Didnít eat, but they do have food. A nice place to stop if youíre in the area.

Stopped in a Saturday Afternoon. Great, classic brewpub look with excellent old school two corner bar, only drawback was limited at bar seating. Had a couple appetizers with my beer and they were very good. They normally have two cask ales going, had the ESB, excellent, classic English Pub stuff!

Finally got a chance to go to the Indy granddaddy of craft beer. Food is ok. Most of the beers hovered around average. Overall, given many Indy beer nerds calls to visit Broad Ripple, I was not impressed. Itís fine. But not stellar.

Kind of a strange little place, but not terrible overall. The atmosphere inside is a bit dark and mellow. It has sort of an old/rustic feel to it. Very quiet and laid-back (at least it was when I was there.) I was disappointed that the brewery wasnít very visible. I like to be able to see the tanks and brewhouse, but I could barely see anything from where we were sitting. We didnít try the food, but the beer was pretty good. Definitely not mind-blowing, but not undrinkable by any means. Service was "just okay". The bartender was very nice but didnít know much about the beers.

A hidden gem in Broad Ripple. They usually have a good selection of beers on tap. Beers range from middling to good. Try the draught beers if you havenít before. Food is very good. Much better than most brewpubs. Very good selection of vegetarian food. The place can be a little noisy and service a little slow during peak hours, so I try to go during off hours. Recommended.

An English-style pub in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis. It is a dimly lit place with a very small bar (maybe 6 seats or so) plus tables throughout and some outdoor seating. There were a number of taps on (~8), I got the Java Porter (awesome!) and IPA which was pretty good. The food is English style and ok. I got the Shepherdís Pie, and it was just ok, Iíve certainly had better. Anyway, for the beer this is a good stop and they seem to rotate their beers often, so there is always something new to try. A great stop and Iíd go back again for sure!

Sigh. Didnít like this place at all. Liked the ambience... labyrinthine with lots of dark wood. I sat at the bar and immediately felt unwelcome. It seemed like getting a sampler was a hassle. To the bartenders credit she did eventually sense this and brightened up but I had already decided not to eat and to leave. There were a couple of good beers but also some pretty mediocre ones. Prices seemed decent. Parking looked like it could be tricky. If I find myself with time to kill in Indy I might give them another try but for now Iím not inclined to go back.
