Stopped in during Ohio Brew Week. They had about 12 Ohio taps and a few other craft options from Great Divide and I believe a Brooklyn tap. What surprised me was their bottle selection. I never would have expected to find a Brooklyn Local #1 there. Service was good, but a little slow. Prices were what really deterred me from liking this place. Every sample was about 50% more expensive here than anywhere else. There were some places that I could order a pint of craft beer for the price they were charging for samples. Aside from that, this place was fine. It had a relaxed sports bar feel about it.
AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20
The classier of the college bars, down one end of court street, and usually the end or beginning of a court street shuffle. Decent food, assuming you get your food correct on the first go, and the selection of drafts is substantially better than the rest of the bars up court (save for Jackie O’s) patio is good and of course drinks can be cheap here as its college bar.
AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20
At the end of court street. Good atmosphere (never had the food). I would guess the second best draft selection in Athens. They usually have something that is pretty good here. Big bar with 16 taps. An additonal bar in the back that you can get bottles.
