Great brewery. Decent comprehensive tour. Great environment for beer drinking with good music on the speakers. Tour was the draw, but two beers on tap for 5 bucks was a great aspect as well. Also, the people there were very helpful including that bartender that was really into beer. Even though I didnt have a token on me, he was like "Donít worry, bring one back later. I donít want you to not have a beer right now." Wide selection of most of their brews. Probably about 10 on tap. Good souveneir area as well with nice tees and pint glasses.

It was worth leaving Manhatten for a few hours to visit here. The staff are great and the brewery tour was worth it.

Iím not sure why the ratings for Brooklyn Brewery are so low (if you read the reviews they are mostly positive). I realize not everyone likes the atmosphere...but hey...this is a brewery...and youíre drinking "in" the brewery! I remember coming here many yearís ago...when they were only open for tastings on a Friday night...there were literally no amenities...and the closest thing to a table was a piece of plywood on 2 saw horses! Yes it gets crowded (plan ahead/come early)...but thatís because their beers are so freakin good...especially the special beers often only available here. Garrett Oliver is a pioneer and leader in the craftbeer movement...I respect what heís accomplished and a visit here is time well spent for the true craft beer fan...and a bit of a pilgrimage...

On a recent return trip to NY, a friend suggested that we meet at the Brooklyn Brewery for an afternoon of fun with our families. Now It did feel odd that we had our children in a brewery, but itís New York, a lot crazier shit will happen and nobody got hurt. We spent our Saturday afternoon enjoying Brooklyn brews and I was glad he mad the call. Day drinking is fun, but an afternoon at the Brooklyn Brewery is top notch!!!

Youíre drinking in the brewery. its great, bring some cards and some friends and some room for beer. first come first serve on the seating so get there at 6 for good seats, people donít get up and leave frequently. Great beer great place.

Happy hour on Friday night is one of the best times you can have in NYC. Great atmosphere, great beer selection, great prices. Real relaxed friendly atmosphere with all the patrons. Delivery menus are provided and you can get pizza, Chinese, etc delivered right to the brewery. Great way to start off the weekend!

a good brewery for tasting. for me the amibance left something to be desired. It was a good experience as i use some Brooklynís beers routinely in my entertaining

Wow, I really liked that place. Arrived at 4:45 on a friday, and we were already 10th in line waiting for the doors to open. We were entertained by the brewery cat, so we were having fun. Lucky we got in early, and were able to snag a picnic table. For the prices in NYC, $20 for 6 tokens is a bargain. The tap line is a lot faster than it appears, it may look like the line is stretching forever, but that is just the hipsters standing around in the way. just go around them and fill up immediately. For as many breweries as I have visited in several states, this has to be one of my favorites! Donít be shy and go for some of the 2 token beers! A MUST visit if you are a beer lover in nyc!

The brewery is one of my favorite places to go in the city. Its always a great time and not too expensive (6 beers for $20) and you can order or bring any food you want into the brewery. Great atmosphere and a great place to go with friends
