A great place to enjoy a beer (or two plus) and a pizza. A go-to venue for beer lovers in Auckland.

Interesting barn like location, lots of beer selection, very "in" overly expensive though and not good value for money, but if you want quirk and in-crowd it should appeal

Visited in August 2014. I really liked this place. The location is in an interesting neighborhood with restaurants and other bars, almost in the central parts of Auckland. Friendly service, I was offered a sample before ordering a beer. Iís always nice to drink a beer or two next to the brewing equipment. Another nice thing is a bar and a bottle shop under the same roof. A must vistit when in Auckland.

Great selection of beers and in a cool area with lots of other food options. Bit pricey and very small serving glasses are the only downside.

November 2013. Visit was during the late afternoon, just a few customers in. Terrific beer selection on tap and in bottles, only had time for a couple of beers though.

Probably the best combination in Auckland of 1) dedication to craft beer, 2) selection of NZ breweries, 3) draft and bottles to-go, 4) comfortable, social space. The one downside is parking, being near the Sky Tower you have to pay.

Only got to spend an hour there on account of their early closing times, but bar staff were very informative and eager to hand out samples. No pints, but glasses around $7 which makes tasting a few possible. A bunch of 8 Wired left over from a tap takeover, plus the onsite brewed beer. Was invited over to a table by locals and learned a lot about the beer scene from them. Great place, just needs to stay open later!

My first stop upon my new (temporary) Auckland residency and what a place to begin! Great vibe and atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly, helpful staff offering tasters to get you to grips with their cracking tap line-up. Some really unique 8 Wired offerings on draught and the bottle list looks to be a thing of beauty with beers from all over the world though the focus is, and for good reason, on NZ brews. Prices are on the higher side than Iím accustomed to but are in keeping with the Auckland scene from what I can gather, particularly for the esoteric beers on offer. Already eager to head back!

This is a small, place located in a sunken mall area that actually faces Nelson Street, between Cook St and Wellesly St. Very cozy and comfortbale, and everyone is friendly. Like sitting in your living room, but people will nring you good beer. Happily, they are now brewing their own beers, five of which were avaiable, as well as some interesting 8Wired taps left over from a tap takeover. Sample trays of six beers arae available for $20. Brewing equipment is right behind the very long bar, and the rest of the place looks like a combination bottle shop and someoneís living room. Food is pizza. Sadly, they closed at 10 PM. This is now THE place to go for craft beer in Auckland, imho.
