I’m torn between keeping this place a well-kept secret, or spreading the word, but here goes... Davy and Glenn were extraordinary hosts, sharing quite a good share of their range, including some not-yet-available brews. The beers were quite tasty, and this place has enormous potential. It’s the most personal brewery tour you can find! The store has a carefully selected range of beers from far and near, including Lost Abbey The Angel’s Share from the U.S., a huge amount of De Molen, BrewDog, etc, etc. Even Struise Brewer Urbain Coutteau joined us, and we helped his students brew a batch of Pipedream. My only regret is that I did not get to taste Glenn’s cooking, but maybe next time!
This was the first stop of our recent trip and what a way to kick things off! The service was fantastic - Glenn had pulled together a really tricky list of beers we’d been looking to track down and the atmosphere and setup were perfect. Walking up the narrow wooden stairs into the shop was akin to a Secret Garden experience. We sampled several of their latest brews of which the Melchior Calvados Barrel Oak Aged triggered instant purchases all round! On browsing the selection the prices were unbelievable across the board and we continued to fill our crates. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and it should become a regular first stop for all our future trips.
It seems more a beershop than a brewery, but it’s really fantastic!

Wonderful shop which now boasts an e-store featuring a lovely and tidy range of craft artisan delights from Europe and beyond. Packaging and postage is really good value. Service is second to none. Glenn is very efficient at returning e-mails and I must advice that you need to check their holiday periods before ordering. Awesome service and awesome value making this high on my list of my favourite shops in Europe. Fantastic experience all round. Upfdate 17th May 2011. Wow. The beer list has changed and I loved the new range. The value is spot on. New shipping charges are a god esnd and the best and easiest way of getting Pannepot to the UK. Thanks, Glenn!
I thought it was about time we put this place on the map. Special place it is because it is only open once every two weeks. A special tasting is then organized to improve locals palates. At the same time, and for every event, Glenn makes a special food or gastronomic dish to spoil you. Simultaneously, one cannot pass their huge beer shop with more than 270 craft beers available for sale. They accept groups too for guided tours around their brewery annex to the tasting room and shop. Reservation is required though. Simply fantastic!
I’ve been here twice now and it goes down as one of the best beer shops I’ve been to in Belgium. Glenn and Davy are extremely helpful and approachable. The beer selection though is what this place is all about. An excellent selection of Alvinne, Struise and De Molen beers along with some other very good Belgian beers. It is also incredibly good value. This now goes down on my must visit places on a trip through Belgium.
Visited the new brewery in Moen.
Incredible new set up in an older style factory-warehouse building but obviously with a lot of work went into remodeling the interior and give it a very modern brewery.
Brand new equipment will expand Alvinne’s capacity.
A nice loft-tasting room overlooks the new brewery while keeping a Belgian feel to it. A 100L keg-pump allows them to pump straight from the tank to the bar and serve beer as fresh as you could get.
Of course, service is always top notch, with Glenn and Davy as hosts. The place to go for the Alvinne beers along with a very good selection of guests beers in the beershop which is also being remodeled to allow people to shop.
Good things from one of Belgium’s leading beer innovators. A small operation that keeps growing at its own pace while always keeping a very friendly atmosphere.
Unlike bar or store this is the place where the magic happens, and Alvinne deserves a perfect score for their hard work.
This place is so amazing I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it, but word is spreading rapidly so...
This is (along with Jeppe’s amazing Ølbutikken) is easily the best beer shop I have been to and must be one of the top in the world. The first time I visited, myself, Sim and the other two ratebeerians with us were as giddy as kids in a sweetshop. The selection is utterly fantastic and gets better each time I visit. Not the biggest selection you will ever see but it’s all quality and no filler. My house is full of very high quality beer from this place and what makes it even better are the prices. Rare and world class brews for such little money it almost seems criminal.
Glenn and Davy provide service that is unbeatable. Glenn’s cooking needs to be tasted to be believed. And the tasting room next door just makes it all the better.
This place is right up at the top of the pile. If you don’t leave here with a huge smile on your face, you don’t like beer.
