Very attractive stone building in an equally attractive area. Large car park. Pub is downstairs, with a restaurant next door. Young barman was not a beer drinker, but there were a handful of helpful and friendly locals who guided me through the beer list with good recommendations. Restaurant was fully booked the entire night - a good sign, but it meant I couldn’t eat there. A worthwhile stop.

Nice cosy pub with a seperate part for the reastaurant. 4 or 5 cask ales and some keg lagers too (standard sh*t). They have their own brewery. Came lateron to eat, nice menu and great food, better than the standard pub food.

stopped off here on way to Hawkshead ... stone tiles floor... posh candles on tables ... a nice looking oldfashioned bar crossed with gastro pub ... 4 cask (3 own 1 guest) interestingly 3 of there own on keg, 1 which was smooth flow. was decent enough but nothing special

This is the sight of the Winster Valley Brewery. This pub was, now in the Good Beer Guide, is a beautiful place with unique and delicious beers. The staff is super friendly and the beer is good too.
