So far I have only been once, but its a great place. A wide range selection of all different types of beers, with good service, the guy working seem to really know what he was talking about. Cant wait to check out this place again!

Very nice balance between a big selection and a well thought out selection. They certainly didnít carry everything, but what they carried was top notch. I really liked the lay out, which made it seem more like a high end wine shop, but it is beer only. A small selection of beer related books are available up front. Very nice beer store. The Pisgah and French Broad beers were a nice find.

This is what a beer store should be. The best thing about Bruisin Ales it they carry local stuff that you canít find anywhere else. The owners are nice, knowledgeable and passionate about beer.

Great selection, and knowledgeable staff... definitely leans toward Belgians, but a great selection of hard to find beers. Good glasswear selection also.

Great little shop in Asheville. Has a nice overall selection. Usually has a few things that you canít find anywhere else. Especially the Pisgah and French Broad stuff. Leans Belgian in their selection but has a great variety of everything. You can usually find some Fantomme, Cantillon, Mikkeller, Olfabrikken, and Norreboro that you wonít find elsewhere. Also ran into some 3 Fonteinen. A little pricey but I suppose that is to be expected considering its a small business that sells nothing but beer. Jason and his wife are very knowledgeable and will gladly talk about anything. Great place, definitely stop by.

Been here a couple times, but not in a while. I get regular updates on their stock and happenings and everything I hear is extremely positive. Have met the owners a couple times and they are very nice and generous. Gave me a free cantillon tulip on my last visit. If it is available in NC, these guys will get it. Always seem to be doing a different and interesting beer tasting. I had been looking for that glass for oh so long. Just got rated the 2nd best beer retailer on ratebeer best 2007. Canít wait to go back here on my next visit to Ashevegas!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that are very passionate about beer. Great selection in a very clean and organized store with a good selection of glassware. I was staying in Gatlinburg, TN and convinced my wife to take two trips to this store because I didnít want to miss out on there wonderfull selection. Canít wait to go back!

This is THE beer store! Incredible selection. . . these guys bring in anything worth having that they can get their hands on (and let me tell ya, they get their hands on the good stuff)! That being said, I have been to some other really amazing beer stores as far as beer selection/availability, but they pale in comparison to Bruisiní Ales! The people is what makes this store really stand out. Jason and Julie are so helpful and friendly, and they will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, steer you in the right direction, or simply get you beer. Chris is the other beer guy at the store, and it would be extremely difficult to find someone as knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful as he is! They keep the store at perfect beer storage temperature, lights off in the cooler, and special lighting throughout the store to keep light exposure to a minimum. These are just a few of the reasons I call Bruisiní Ales THE beer store!

I donít have enough good things to say about this place. Moving from Durham, NC to the Asheville area, I had to say goodbye to Samís Quick Stop and feared that there would be nowhere to fill its shoes not so! BA not only fills Samís shoes but leaves them far behind in the dust.
It is, in a word, Mecca for beer lovers.
BA specializes in high-gravities and hard-to-find imports theyíre often the ONLY place in the area (wide-radius area at that) to offer particular labels or brews. Furthermore, they have bi-monthly tastings, often free. Jason and Jule (the proprietors) are extremely knowledgeable you have the assurance that they personally know what theyíre selling on their shelves, and theyíre proud of it.
Prices can sometimes be slightly high, but I donít mind: 1) itís a local-owned business that Iím more than happy to support. 2) Sometimes itís worth paying a premium for the good and hard-to-find stuff.
This place is a treasure.
