Jason and Julie are truly up and coming beerlebrities. Brusin’ Ales doesn’t waste any space for wine or liquor. The lighting and temp are maintained for perfect storage in their beautiful, classy, clean, and homey downtown store. They know, respect, and love good Beer. (especially Belgians) They are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and in my opinion the Best beer store in the Southeast. They even invented the word on their shirt - beer•lan•thro•py™ concern for the welfare and advancement of beer. Go visit them and if you’re in the area they definitely are worth being your only stop for beer. Their selection of merchandise (T-shirts, glasses, and books) is among the best I’ve ever seen. Furthermore, they allow every 6 pack to be broken up so you can try many more beers. No Where else in Asheville has this. People are already coming from all over to get beers from a store that knows to keep their lights in the store low and in the coolers off ( to show respect for the reactions that can occur when too much light interacts with hop compounds in the bottle.

i love this place. great service and selection. the owners can answer any question you may have about a beer and are always trying to bring in new and rare beers. luckily for me it is just down the street. also carry a large selection of beer merchandise (shirts, glasses, books, etc.) a must stop for any one in the asheville area.

Place just opened this past December, and is really easy to find. Lots of glassware and t-shirts for sale, and a really wide, surprising selection...Kulmbacher Eisbock, Altbiere, vintage Gale’s, Bridgeport (!), Deus, lots of expensive and semi-rare beers from all over. Big drawback here is not breaking the sixers, though I hear that may be in the works. Prices are high. Clean with great service (and a little area for sampling). A good rating for now, potentially a great rating on my next visit...

Wow. A pleasure to shop at. Not only do they carry the regular lineup of some of the best breweries the east coast has to offer but they have some one offs as well like Brooklyn 1 and DFH Red and White. I love giving places like this my business. Stop by, chat with the owners and pick up some incredible beers.

Best beer store in the Southeast. Bar none. No macros, and no crappy imports. Only quality micros and Belgians. Excellent service. Very classy.

Asheville really needed a place like this. It’s conveniently located downtown and has pretty much everything available in the other good beer stores in the area consolidated in a practical arrangement. The prices seem to be within a dollar of the other places in the market. I picked up a few beers I haven’t seen elsewhere. The only focus of this store is beer, which seemed to be very fitting for a community that has a generally high focus on craft beer. This will now be a staple stop for me whenever I’m in town. Here’s a little update: they started selling everything in singles. That is very awesome. I just wanted to add that the more I frequent Bruisin’ Ales, the more I like it. The service is impeccable. He does not waste shelf space on anything he feels doesn’t meet his standards of quality. Sure he’s got hundreds of beers available, but the thing is they are all carefully selected. He won’t just carry every micro he can get his hands on. The stock here is constantly rotating. I always get fresh stuff when I’m in. I’d rather have this kind of attention to detail and quality rather than a mega beer store with thousands of ancient bottles on the shelf. Mr. Atallah is very serious about his beer hobby and we all reap the benefits when we visit his store.

Killer store! I was traveling on business from the "deprived" state of Florida and stumbled on this beer store. I felt like I was walking into a fine wine store but fully stocked with 300+ beers. The owner was very knowledgable and all the beers were niceley displayed. There were geatured beers with beer advocate ratings and most all the beers had a brief descriptions. Again just like a fine wine store. Very refreshing to see.

This place is great. It has a great selection, and the service is very helpful. It is about time Asheville got a store like this.
