I wouldnt say this place has the best selection in NC, but that certainly have a great selection. Found Black Albert here along with several other gems. They do, however, have beers that i have never seen in NC. A great store and if you can find a place to park, it is worth a look.
pretty small store just off the main strip in downtown Asheville. Quite small store with a bunch of local stuff at the front of the store, mix of craft and international offerings throughout the rest of the store..small tap area with a few items on tap, so you can have a beer and shop at the same time, upon my visit here they were having a small Ballast Pt tasting with a few decent bottles and also they had BA Sexual Chocolate on tap, so I could not pass up a snort of this, liked that you could get a small pour as well. Really didnít see anything super rare or out of the ordinary here but did have a few things that I didnít see in other stores, like No Da Hop Drop Roll..a nice quaint store that does have a very good selection of craft beer, worth a visit if in the area
Visited on a Tuesday evening about an hour before close. The group I was with were the only people in the shop during the visit, so that was nice. There is a small metered parking lot beside the shop that can be utilized, but it is a bit pricy. $1 per half hour. We used it so that we could easily carry our beer out and put it away. Inside, there are beers lining all walls plus a center display. I donít remember seeing any wine, but they did have some ciders and mead available. There is a refrigerated section on the wall to the right as soon as you walk in, but the majority is room temperature. We were left mostly to ourselves for perusing, but I had a question about a mead they had and itís price. After that, the gentleman working was a bit more chatty. He was very knowledgeable about the mead and even gave me a bit of a flavor profile of it, which was cool. He sold it. That mead was the only thing I didnít see with a price tag. All other things were labeled. I found about 10 bottles of things I hadnít come across before and immediately grabbed. When I was cashed out, I was actually surprised at how little my bill was. I checked it out, and everything was there. I guess that would speak to the reasonableness of the pricing. This place is very much deserving of itís world class status, and next time I am in Asheville, I will come in with the intent of perusing more thoroughly. Very cool place.
Nice little store tucked away in the corner of the building. Decent selection. Great selection of locals. Prices were the average high. Walked out with a handful of stuff Iíd been wanting to try for some time.
Went in a while back on one of my AVL visits. Nice spot with a good selection. I wouldnít be surprised if it was the best selection in town. I was in a hurry so I didnít interact a lot with the staff, but they seemed friendly and helpful. Prices seemed average. Wish I could have spent more time here. Next trip!
Very kind people helped me in every way they could had some wonderful imperial stouts and other all round beers a good online site I am going to order from them no doubt in the future was a pleasure doing business with them
If you are in the area this a craft beer shop that should be on the radar. Very friendly staff, the store is small but packed with bottles. Very strong on the local NC breweries which is great since NC has a lot of good ones. Prices may be a little on the high side but nothing to tarnish the experience. Also, they ship out of state and that is a plus
This is a pretty nice little store. Location within a very short walk of our hotel made it even better. Very small place, packed to the rim though. I stuck to local stuff, as I didnít have capacity to bring too much back, but the selection seems quite nice. Prices seemed okay to me. Singles were reasonable, bombers less so.
