Nice little beer bar. Ambience is niece and the beers aren’t to bad. Went there on a Tuesday night and they had a live band. The prices rant that bad either.

Pretty decent beer, place is a labyrinth as previously described. OK service.

Quiet, old-style place with an attentive and knowledgeable service. I may not have had many beers there, but I surely cannot understand the quite hard criticisms I have heard about this place

A larger than expected brewpub in downtown Montreal. The interior has a lot of nooks and crannies so there are plenty of seats. The main level has a grungy pub feel while the downstairs is a nice lounge with some TVs. There is a nice shaded terrace on the main level too. They had 7 regulars on (IPA, honey brown, extra blonde, honey beer, strawberry blonde ale, nut brown, and scotch ale). I enjoyed the IPA, although it is more of a hoppy pale ale. They also have 4 seasonal beers, 2 of which I sampled (a IIPA and a ginger cream ale) and were very good. Beware- the beers are quite pricy. Only happy hour prices were listed on the board- $5.50/pint for regulars and $6.50 for seasonals. And a pint of Guinness was $8.75! Bartenders and patrons spoke mostly English. Overall, I was surprised by the quality of the beers (in contrary to ratings by prior posters, I found the 3 beers I tried to be very good) and certainly it is worth stopping here for at least one round.

I’ve never been much impressed by the beers (the IPA was pretty good), but it’s a decent place, especially for that neighbourhood. The food is quite tasty, and it’s not a bad (student-y) place to hang out.

In downtown Montreal. Place is usually quiet empty when I go there with few regulars that were chatting with staff. Not very attentive and especially friendly. Felt like was intruding their peace. Bit strange. Beers are hit and miss but of good value.

Not bad, not great. Beers were ok, but far superior to anything in the immediate area. I would go here again. Highlight of the expeirence was definitly the service. Attentive, knowledgable and polite. Again a decent spot. fyi- They seem to have a lot of bands that play here, which is def, a plus.

A pretty nice place for a beer at a quaint local place in the English side of Montreal. Nothing great out of the homebrew taps, but nothing bad either. Careful how you drive and where you park here, cops are douche bags (especially officer Silverman, unit 548, AKA Dudley Doosh-nozzle)
