Checked this out with stlwill on his recommendation. Pretty neat set up. According to the bar back the place has been around since the 50ís and they added the bowling alley portion of it later. Itís pretty awesome that there is a bowling alley with good beer. I also love that they do events for special keg tappings at this particular bowling alley.
The tap lineup is well thought out. They had Two Hearted on tap and the new "French IPA" from New Belgium but after tasting the New Belgium beer I went with a St Lupulin from Odellís. The bartender also gave me taste of the Blame It On The Boil sour beer from Crazy Mountain which I did not care for. Prices were reasonable and the music was good most of the time, though very eclectic with some Lead Belly and Black Sabbath but also some 80ís crap.
One of my favorite stops (if not my favorite) in Minneapolis.
Had an decent variety of taps and had some awesome food. Also loved the nostalgia bowling, cool place to grab a beer and bowl a few games.

3/3/06: Went last night. Had Victory Hop Wallop, Rogue Imp Stout and Surly Furious on tap. Also had Bells Batch 7000 in bottle. Quality selection. Part of town not so nice, but only a couple blocks from nicer. 5/10/05: Cool joint. Was there during the 2005 Twin Cities "I love beer" pubcrawl. Red and black square tiles on the floor. Chalk board featuring their beers, which is always a good sign because they can CHANGE!!! Very nice selection that included Rogue Brutal Bitter and Juniper Ale (Yellow Snow) on tap. They had me there. Also had Mojo IPA and 3 Bells offerings: Oberon, 2 Hearted and Amber. And, of course there is a small bowling alley in back. What more can you ask? Recommended.
Bowling Alley/theater/bar all wrapped into one. Small draft selection but good offerings overall. Food is good but can be a little pricey. Decent breakfast as well. Fun place to go if you are in town and want o bowl and drink craft beer.
Heard about this place on Ratebeer. Doesnít look like a bowling alley on the outside...very cool vintage alley...Beer Selection was awesome...Cooperís Stout wasnít too bad.. Cantillon was a surprise.. Very fun place!
Visited in early October 2006. Pretty damn cool place, looks like it hasnít been remodeled since the 40s, comfy bar/restaurant are with aged fixtures and a really nice tap selection. I didnít try the food but my friend who visits often says good things, and no one was bowling when we were there, but atmosphere-wise this place is killer. Good service, just a nice comfy place like the Twin Cities seem to be blessed with in abundance.
It looks like a run down shack from outside and kind of looks like that on the inside. The food was okay, but overpriced. Definitely come for the beer. They have a great selection of things from all over the world. This definitely is NOT the place to come to sample all the Minnesota beers, however. There were only a few on the list. But having a Cantillon while bowling was too much fun.
