60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 DYCSoccer17 (275) Woodland, California | March 26, 2011 Surprised I haven’t rated this place yet. It’s a converted old house, with seating on the porch, and just a little bit on the inside. During the day, you have to order from the register, and at night you can sit down. Awkward. They have about a dozen beers on tap, with Chimay being the only interesting thing. Recently, they added a jockey box with seasonal beers. When I was there last weekend, they had Hairy Eyeball and Torpedo for $5 a pint. They have a mediocre bottle list with maybe 50-100 bottles. Prices are variable. Staff isn’t overly knowledgeable about beer, and THE SINGLE THING THAT PISSES ME OFF ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THE FROZEN MUGS THAT THE OWNER INSISTS ON SERVING THE BEER IN. Apparently, the place has a good wine selection. The food is fantastic, and the service is usually very prompt. I just wish they had more interesting beers to fill their tap handles than the common, generic micros. |

They have a decent tap selection, and a very good bottle list. Pretty heavily favoring Belgian styles, but that’s okay with me. Unfortunately, not that many good stouts available. |
