Large nice patio, large bar and a nice bistro atmosphere. Service was great, I just happened to be sitting with the owner, so it may not be that good when you go. Selection is huge with a do it all sample platter for cheap. I didnít eat but the kitchen is open and looks good. Beer is OK, but nothing special. Considering the competition in the vicinity, I would give it a miss unless you have the time.

My hotel was next to this place so visited this place at least 3-4 times. Food was better than average and service OK. House beers OK but nothing special.

You know, whenwever someone says letís head down to Burnside Brewing Iím all, "yeah!" But this place never fails to disappoint. The beer is always so-so, even though some of it looks really exciting on the menu. Youíre either stuck in the awkwardly shaped restaurant, crowded on the long tables out side or standing in line for an hour at the, in my experience, poorly managed fruit beer festival. Stop in to have a beer on a weekday lunchtime but donít fret about missing this one if you visit.

Visited on Saturday 08/11/14 around 8pm.
Medium to large single room venue with a slight L-shaped annex to the side by the bar where we sat. Place was busy with evening diners, had more of an eatery feel than that of a place where folks came for the beers.
11 beers on tap including a couple of guests and you could get a 4oz pour of any for a very reasonable $1.
Bar service was really good bearing in mind they were also contending with lots of drink orders to go with the food.
Beer choice was ok, encompassing a number of styles, house beers ranged from so so to ok, nothing special.
In summary, we were in the neighbourhood already so thought weíd drop by, certainly not a go to destination in PDX though, definately outside my top 10. We didnít eat here, food looked good and that seemed to be the bulk of their business.

Great expansive tasting room right on Burnside on the east side of town. Beer quality is above average, the prices are really reasonable and the service was excellent. Didnít try the food as there didnít seem to be much for vegetarians/vegans. Worth a stop when in the area.

Yellow King, trippy type artwork and chill vibe. Good food and friendly service. Beer selection was plentiful with 12+ of their own beers offered. Reasonable prices and beer quality was solid. Didnít have anything flawed, but nothing that blew me away. Worth a drop in if you are nearby, but I wouldnít add it to a "must stop" list for Portland.

Lots of good beer, didnít eat. Good service. A sort of big beer hall atmosphere with some cool art. None of the beer blew me away, but it was all good. A small parking lot also.

A nice place, looks like it used to be a restaurant. Plenty of seating inside and outside. 13 beer sampler, nice. The beers were all good, solid beers.

Large restaurant style place with a long bar. Eleven beers available as a sampler, holy cow! Thatís about two imperial pints of beers. Beers were decent enough. Food is tasty.

Busy brewpub just across the Burnside Bridge from downtown Portland. Lots of seating: 15 at the bar, 40 or so at tables, 20-30 in booths, and maybe 30-40 at tables on the patio out front. High ceilings, concrete walls, and exposed wooden beams. Long lines of hop vines growing down from the beams. Open kitchen along the bar, with poor ventilation, and this tends to interfere with the beer aromas. Pleasant atmosphere, mostly young to middle-aged crowd. Good menu, with some unusual meat and poultry items.
Very good service, but it wasnít terribly crowded. The server knew all about the beers. Beer flights were very reasonable: ten types in 4-oz. glasses for $10. Unfortunately, the beers are hit or miss. But it is a place that Iíll go back to next time in Portland.
