Cosy friendly pub with a couple of rooms and traditional pub games. Lots of regulars in here and good service. Six cask ales on tap, all Burton Bridge.

Burton Bridge brewpub and flagship pub just outside Burton town centre, the bridge being over the Trent. Couple of rooms, chattering locals, friendly enough vibe - no nonsense boozer with 5 or 6 BB beers on cask. Busy when I’ve visited in the evening and service has always been efficient. Probably my favourite stop on a Burton crawl.

What a lovely smal cousy pub. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Solid beer selection. Not to easy to find on first attempt.

The best place to have Burton Bridge Ales. A very nice and traditional place (1.9.2012).

One of the essential places to go on a Burton crawl. Traditional blokey boozer, which is decked out with comfortable furnishings and kept in immaculate order. A range of Burton Bridge ales on, as you would expect. Charming.

A wonderfully traditional Midlands pub of multiple room, chip butties, no music, tv or nonsense, and 6 cask ales brewed on the premises. Fireplaces, wall benches with assorted loose cushions, flock wallpaper and half wall wood paneling, and dogs! Great atmosphere. Beer is served a little warm for modern taste.

The place to go if you’re in Burton. A traditional bar, with a good range of Burton Bridge ales, very well kept.

Again, see haddonsman’s comments for detail. The food was just great, and the ales are not to be beat. You must stop, if you are in town. The other must top is the brewery museum in the former Bass brewery. Current owner not to be named, but the museum brewpub seems to be going well.
