Pretty good beer selection, mostly in bottles. The food is very good. The service is so-so, depending on how busy they are. The building is old with a funky layout, which I think makes it pretty cool. It also opens up into a large patio/outside section around back.

This rating applies to the downstairs bar, which is dark and atmospheric and particularly nice on a summer evening with the half-door open. Only two taps, Iím pretty sure these have been Smuttynose IPA and Allagash White for years. Small list of micros (the only restaurant in town serving Lion Stout AFAIK) Also, no, they donít have the Alpha King Pale Ale and yes, they do need to update their menus.

I havenít been during regular hours, so I have only been to the downstairs bar, which is very cozy. Their beer list is evenly split between macros and more common micros. I had a Pilsner Urquell and the rest of my party each had Smuttynose IPA. Food is a little pricy, but tasty. Staff seems friendly, but not too knowledgeable.

C&O doesnít have the best beer selection around town, but itís certainly not bad (I can always find something to drink). Service is friendly, food is good (sometimes pricey), and the ambiance is quite nice. Lovely woodburning stove right inside the door creates a nice warmth and aroma during the winter, and the bistro basement is lovely.
