Visited in may 2011. Very little place between coffee shops. Good selection of Belgian beers and good service. The beer menu wasn’t on sight when we visited there.

Small pub in one of many Amsterdam small alleys. The pub can probably only accommodate 25 people inside so during busy days most of the drinking takes place sitting on a few chairs outside and mostly standing up in the street. The interior is a dark devilish type of mini-gothic bad. The place has a loyal crowd and seems to always be packed, I’ve been there three times and was never able to sit inside. It’s alright, drinking on the street is fun. There are many beer bars in Amsterdam that offer a good selection of Belgian beers. Actually there are just is probably more beer bars specialized in Belgian beers in Amsterdam than there is beer bars specialized in Dutch beers. I didn’t find the selection superior at Café Belgique but Café Belgique was by far my favourite because of the crowd and atmosphere. Café Belgique crowd seems to be the wildest Amsterdam pot smoking party animals in town, but always super friendly. The experienced beer hunter won’t find anything new in their large beer list, but Café Belgique is just a great place to hang-out for people who like me are a bit on the left-side of things.

This is the party beer cafe in the city center and they have internationally renowned DJs playing here occasionally. I once saw Hudson Mohawke spinning late night tunes. Good selection of beers and usually a nice special. This place is tiny and overflows into the street, especially in the summer time.

Small and central, this seemed great when I first discovered it, but the range isn’t much to really write home about. Usually have to stand outside as it’s so tiny.

Stopped here on a night when In De Wildeman wasn’t open. Cosy (read: tiny but warmly lit) little spot. Solid if unspectacular collection of Belgians.

Visited 3/6/2012. Small and busy bar with a decent, if not wide, choice of Belgian beers. Prices were pretty good, a bottle of Girardin Kriek was E3.50 as was Tripel Karmeliet on tap. Barmaid was friendly and efficient and able to talk me through the range on offer. Very enjoyable.

Belgique is ok. It is very, very small so you will likely be standing up inside (very crowded) or standing outside in the alley where there are a couple benches up against the front of the building. The smallness adds to the character of this bar...and a lot of times, thats what you find in Europe, small places. Good Belgian beer selection (the staples). The bartenders have always been good when I have been here---fast, courteous. The crowd at Belgique has always been pretty cool...

Dark place, Belgian beers and some cheese. I remember it was hot inside with no air-condition. not the best place in Amsterdam.

Visited this place back in July 2003. The decor and the premises are very nice and cosy. Drank only Hoegaarden, but as the description says has a few other Belgians. The seat next to windows offer a good view to the wall across only couples of meters due to narrow street. Back in the day (2003) the wall had a graffiti/painting of tropical island with palms, beah and the sky. It was a very good way to create a larger space illusion for the outside view.

Locale piccolissimo ma molto carino in pieno centro. Selezione discreta di trappiste e qualche bottiglia non introvabile. All’interno si può fumare di tutto.
