Great place.. Authentic beerbar. Locals come here for a chat or just reading the newspaper in the afternoon, and off course a beer! Their selection is great and the owner is relaxed as well as knowledgeable - really knows his beer and will give you the directions you need. Prices are great.

Nice bar for the local and great selection for the interested. The owner was really nice and gave us some advice and his wife offered us some snacks at some point and we just felt so welcome. Selection is great, a lot of Dutch & Belgian beers but also some classic american and some unexpected (on suggestions). Prices are not too high (especially not overpricing the big bottles). Ambiance and place is cosy but a bit small and crowded.

A quite small pub, with a nice terrace by the river. The pub is ran as a hobby by an elderly couple, and even though thereís a very nice beer list on the tables, they usually also have some other interesting things around. Closes quite early on most evenings, but is still well worth a visit if youíre around. If thereís some specific beer youíre after, just ask, they just might have it, even though not listed.

Small, cozy pub at the borders of the Maas, just across the bridge. Beautiful local atmosphere. Expect many locals playing cards or reading the papers being served fine bottles of beer rom the friendly and passionate bar owner. Truly great service. Wide range of beers. Huge amount of Dutch and Belgian brewers, but if you ask, you can get some foreign gems as well. They have a nice beer tasting menu as well. For a more than fare rate they will serve you a nice selection of beers accompanied with some plates of cheese and other appetizers. We really enjoyed our visit last friday, that we decided to revisit the place on saturday as well. Truly a must visit if you are in Maastricht. Best beerpub in town.

Nice little bar on the borders of the Maas river. Very friendly knowledgeable couple. Very well chosen selection on the beer menu. A lot of Belgian, Dutch, American and English beers. Prices are very decent. Lovely place!

Visited on a wednesday afternoon. Very nice bar near the river. Well decorated. Nice ambiance with a bunch of old friendly locals playing cards. Service was friendly and efficient. The owner seems to be a really nice guy and very passionnate. The bottle selection is quite extensive, but like other have said already it become even more extensive when you chat with the owner as he will make you some nice suggestions. Many Struises beers, a bunch of De la Senne too, most of the good gueuzes (3F, Tilquin, Oud Beersel, Cantillon, etc.) and Kriek and a lot of others. Prices are good for the area. Thatís the kind of local bar that I really like. Not too touristic with an owner who is a beer enthusiast and a very good selection that include some nice lambics and easily drinkable beers at good prices.

A little less ambiance than Take One, an owner that know a little less about pairing beers than Peet @ Take One, but a wider selection of great beers. Try to get beers that are not on the íregularí menu.

Tell Peter what you like and he will serve you a great beer you probably didnít drink before. There are 600+ different beers, of which many are from smaal to micro breweries.
On warm evenings the small terrace is probably full.
Come early, as the pub closes at 24.00

Despite Take Oneís attitude, Servaasís potential and Thembiís range, this is Maastrichtís current top beer venue - and in the increasingly competitive Dutch top ten drinking places, without doubt. Delighted to see a boss who is probably older than me. Also clearly relishing his job. It was also heartening to be in the lowest quartile of the age range drinking there. I am guessing that the boss always wanted to run a pub that specialised in beer and enjoys shocking his customers with yet another brewery making top rate beers. Craft intentions one, industrial wisdom nil, 50 times a night. Just off the Maas. The only place I visited that on a busy trip informed by Tim Skeltonís Beer in the Netherlands that was not polluted by groovy music. Snacks could get a wee bit more artisanal. Otherwise brilliant.
