Stopped in with my boy Chino and had a great time. Nice selection of Belgian or Belgian-style beers. Service was great, waiter was very beer knowledgeable and happy to chat. Food was excellent as well. They also do flights of four 4-ounce pours, a bit pricey at $12 though.

Really nice ambiance and decor, and they have a nice patio. Service was almost near perfect, waitress came by quickly and assisted us, and knew about beer. the Food was really good, and they had a vast beer selection (many Belgian beers for sure) of a lot of beers that arenít available where I live (Ale Asylum, New Holland, Goose Island). I only really fault them for their prices. Bottles of beer were a bit pricier than I would like to pay, but still acceptable. There is another location, in Wauwatosa, that may be better, or worse, but I do not know. I find these people who complained about this place to be a bit excessive, and perhaps they are referring to the other location.

Worst place to buy beer, Way overpriced unless its Hoegarden or Stella. I ordered a Lakefront beer, It came in a bottle and cost 7 dollars. Food is also over priced, not that good and is served in small portions.

Looking for Belgians, this should be high on your list. Good food, great slection of Belgians and Belgian styled American craft beers. Thereís another Hollander in the Wauwatosa village.

Iíve gone to this place on several occasions and the last time was the last straw. Service is HORRIBLE. They are usually slow to wait on you, but the last three times it took 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the staff. Food is okay. Selection of beers has potential, but they leave some obvious ones off their menu. Never going back

I got to Cafe Hollander a lot. They have really good, unique food. They also specialize in Belgian ales, the craft brew selection besides this is a bit scarce and the other imports are kind of disappointing, but if you stick with the Belgians youíll find yourself happy. Always the proper glassware, down the the brewery logo on each distinct glass of beer ordered.

I went here for a work happy hour, and had a blast! We were on the upper level, which has the middle cut out for decorations (and you can see the bar).. that was kinda cool, but they couldíve seated more folks if they didnít do that. The beer list is excellent, albeit expensive, with a heavy focus on Belgian styles.. drafts included D.T., Triple Karmelit, and one Chimay. Service was attentive and I enjoyed the food. Iíll go back.

I visited Cafe Hollander after a co-worker mentioned it for lunch with a friend of mine. I thought the decor and food were very good, but the beer selection boring and the food very slow.
We arrived and scrutinized the beers on tap. I ordered a Delirium Noell and my friend an Avery Reverend, both of which were sold out. My friend re-ordered, only to discover his third choice was also sold out. We ended up splitting a 750ml of La Chouffe. Beer selection was pretty ordinary, with (obvioulsy) a fair number of stock-outs. I was disappointed in a number of other beer choices; Stella, Amstel Lt, Guinness, Leffe, etc.
Our server was friendly, but did not seem very beer-knowledgeable. We ordered sandwhiches, which probably took 45 minutes to emerge from the kitchen. Service was extremely slow, but friendly and the place seemed to be staffed entirely by young, good-looking women.
Food was quite good. French fries come with a bevy of saucing choices, and my club sandwhich had a spicy mayo and apples on it, which were both unique and delicious.
Given the slow service and fairly pedestrian imported beer menu, I would be reluctant to return here for RateBeerian reasons.
