Beautifull place in the city centre but a bit hidden which is good because you find it if you’re looking for it .. The selection it’s not huge but better than other places in town more famous .. The staff was very professional and friendly ..

Awesome little place just slightly off the beaten path - just off Philipstockstraat and a minute away from the main square. Excellent beer selection. The highlight was the 2007 3F Oude Geuze Vintage (only 5 bottles left as of the time of this review). Service was absolutely top-notch, and the prices are very fair. Back patio is really awesome. I preferred this place to ’t Brugs Beertje. Mandatory stop.

We chose this destination on a Sunday in Bruges to escape the hordes, and in this sense it couldn’t have delivered better. Hidden in plain sight, the garden is wall-locked between four buildings - another place that seems to be outside of time. Another excellent bottle list and short, serviceable tap list. It would seem a challenge to find a place more relaxing to enjoy a beer in this city.

My favorite spot in Bruges. Cozy, with an almost familiar setting with the bar in the corner and a hundred red plastic roses hanging from the ceiling. I’ve visited this bar several times and always received quick and good service. One time I asked about the age of a De Cam Oude Geuze whereupon the bartender actually called De Cam to find out which vintage they had received! The bar only has a handful of beers on tap, but all are very decent. It’s the bottle menu that most impresses, in particular the sour ales - usually all lambic brewers and blenders of Belgium can be found on their menu.

Beautiful little spot. The staff were friendly but also kept disappearing. Great selection for Belgian beers if you’re used to English bars. Food was delicious too. Again the value compared to England was great.

Easy enough to find. Looks lovely on the outside & even better on the inside. Not that big, quite comfortable, there appears to be a terrace here but I didn’t go and look. Wooden furniture, roses hanging from the sealing, red colours everywhere, I suppose one could call it even romantic. Service was friendly, apt & available in at least Dutch & English. Lovely place done with care. Too bad that the prices were way too high, at first I though that this was because I am in Bruges but Cambrinus which is right around the corner offered normal prices. Beer selection is quite good & interesting (I didn’t see anything new to me at first glance) but really the prices. Beers on tap 4 €, most beers noticeably more expensive than I am used to, the specials were painfully expensive, La Trappe O.A. 28 €, bigger bottles of Dochter van de Korenaar starting at 20+ €, Struise Rio Reserva 55 € etc. Everything else is great but that is just overkill. I heard a table nearby talking in disbelief about the prices as well.

Visited on Xmas eve 2013. The place was very tranquil, almost empty bar a couple of guests hanging about. Perfect after a bit of a rough flight to Brussels and horrendous driving conditions from there. The selection on tap was between five beers, we had three which was brilliant. Definite highlight was the St. Bernardus Christmas Ale, which had been aged for a year. Nice finger food. Great service. Personally I enjoyed this place way ahead of the more busy and touristy Cambrinus.
