Interrieur is wat verwaarloosd, maar dat past bij deze kleine, gezellige kroeg. Selectie bieren is goed, vaak leuke bieren op de tap. Uitbater Ruud heeft veel bierkennis. Het biercafe in Arnhem.

Nice brown cafe not far from the train station. No real surprises but a decent selection

Visited the pub for a tasting. Hadn’t been there in many years and in my memory it was a lot better than it actually is. Back then I thought it was great they had so many (belgian) beers. But now they didn’t have a single beer I hadn’t tasted before. Atmosphere is ok. It’s small, music good and not too loud and there’s a billiart table.

Nice brown bar with a nice selection of beers. Mostly regulars, but also always something interesting. Recommended.

Spend a lot of time there during my studie in (2005-2009). Very nice classic ’brown’ café. Small, old, wooden and a lot of atmosphere. Small outside wit some tables. Nice selection of beers. Mostly belguim.

Just a couple of tables outside, already full with people when I got there. Lots of space inside, with a typical wooden bar and wooden stools. In front of it, wooden big tables with benches and chairs. Wood seems to occupy the place, giving this bar a nice warmth. Good selection of beers, although nothing that you won’t find somewhere else. They do bring new beers every now and then though, they had some english ones temporarily available. Good prices, beers were served in their appropriate glassware and more often in their branded glasses too.

The pub/cafe was situated on a corner and inside it is quite dark but festooned with posters and also beer related paraphanlia. The landlord was lovely and showed me the beer list shortly after we arrived, it was a jolly decent list and good prices as well. I guess that this would be a cracking bar on a busy evening but a Monday lunchtime when we arrived us never going to be busy. If in Arnhem I would definately go here again however Arnhem whilst not without it’s plus points is hardly a place I would rush to go to again, sadly WWII destroyed much of the buildings of historic interest and the City is a tad grim. However back to the pub, beers were good and list would keep even the most fussy beer geek happy, if not then they are too geeky :-)
