Realmenmte encontrar un lugar de buenas cervezas belgas no es fácil, ya que siempre encuentras lo mismo pero éste vale la pena. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 teddybeer (46) Madrid, Spain | September 21, 2011| Updated August 21, 2012 An excellent belgian bar at the center of Madrid. A good selection of beers, mainly trappist and abbey but also witbier. The only one place where it is possible to find Misty Blanche on tap brewed by Du Bock | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 eku28 (17) San Diego, California | March 31, 2011| Updated August 21, 2012 Cafeeke is located on Calle de los Cuchilleros, very close to the Plaza Mayor. It is just up the street from Sobrino de Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world (ca. 1725). It’s a cozy, small pub with low ceilings, and an upstairs area with some more tables. There are not that many taps, but a decent selection for Spain. I ordered a Chimay which came in the appropriate glass, and it was some of the freshest I’ve had. The servers were very friendly and helpful. There is a small tapas menu with some basic selections. Recommended when in Madrid. A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 14/20 Brian2d (11) , Spain | May 22, 2010| Updated August 21, 2012 Good cozy pub atmosphere. Mostly Belgian beers. Not a huge selection, but what they have is good. Not cheap, probably because a lot of tourists role through here - very close to Plaza Mayor, in a historic district. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 michael-pollack (100) King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | February 17, 2010| Updated August 21, 2012 Cool little bar. Not cheap, but not too expensive. | 58 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 Dorqui (124) Brescia, Italy | November 5, 2009| Updated August 21, 2012 Graceful pub in the vicinities of Plaza Mayor, own beside the Chucilleros’s doors. Small atmosphere, dark with according to wider plan in order eating. Chosen of mostly Belgian beers, some classic ones while sometimes some innovation can be found. Good music, high pleasant indeed little wide acclimatization but with some table and stools. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 CamdenD (39) Madrid, Spain | February 14, 2008| Updated July 26, 2009 Considering its competition in Madrid, this place should get a 100. Good standard selection of Belgian beer and decent tap lineup, including Chimay Triple and always a kriek. Standard Belgians available, as well as, sometimes, not to blow their cover, a certain very sought-after beer without a label... | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 thenick (11) North Bellmore, New York | July 16, 2007| Updated July 26, 2009 Stumbled upon this place on a chilly evening when looking for a place to go inside for a drink. Decent selection of Belgians, which stood out among the rather desolate beer landscape of Madrid. I had a few beers here I never even saw in places like New Beer Distributors or the Publick House in the USA. The manager we spoke to was very interested in beer and took time to make recommendations and ask us how we enjoyed our beers. Not a bad place at all. |
