My first stop at CBC, I have wanted to check this place out for a few years now. Large brick and wood space inside with lots of people enjoying themselves, some a little too much. Not as many people outside on the patio, altho if the weather was a little nice I would have joined them out there as it looked awesome. Service was pretty good. At times he just wanted to talk to the locals but I didnít have to wait too long for my beers. Quality was pretty high. Legit food ingredients, proper glasses, etc. Selection was pretty good but not amazing. Nothing overly rare or interesting, except the sake beer. but a decent array of beers to choose from. I stopped in for dinner so I decided to go with a margarita pizza which was solid, I finished the whole pizza in no time flat. Prices were on par with everywhere else I had been, maybe a touch high but it is a major city. Overall an awesome little brewpub in the heart of the city. I will definitely return when I am in the city.

Showed up on their 26th anniversary, on accident. Cool place with immediate seating. 16 beers on tap and the food was very good. Server was excellent but was slow. It was very busy so I am guessing it was more because of that. Neat little outdoor area with additional taps, heaters, etc. Conveniently located off the MIT T stop.

Cool spot. Interesting taps covering a range of styles including a wild ale and barrel aged stuff and theyíre solid beers overall. The bartender was cruisy but service was efficient enough. Happy to pour tasters. I didnít eat but lunch menu looked good. Cans and growlers stocked in the fridge for takeaway. Outside patio seating for nice days. Thereís a neat mural to look over up on the wall too.

Nice brewpub with visible brewing equipment. Cool mural on the wall. Not too noisy. Service was pretty good; we had a party of 8 and servers were able to cope easily. Large selection of brews for a brewpub, with a good variety of styles (a bit of everything - IPAs, lagers, double IPAs, porters, imperial stouts, sours, barleywines, etc...). Food was good, but not outstanding. Reasonable value. Overall a good place to get good beers. Would come back, when in Cambridge.

Visited on a Friday night (EBF week-end).
Ambiance: Large place. We arrived around 9 pm on a friday night and there was still seating available. Music isnít too loud. Like JulienHuxley said, just by the smell you can easily know you are enteting a brewpub.
Service: Service was ok at best. Not friendly, but not super rude either. Subpar for US standards though. A tad slow.
Selection: Plenty of options of their own beers (more than the 6-8 taps listed here), including 1 cask. We only tried the beers on the left page of the menu (regulars), but we had 6 or 7 of them and all were disappointing except the cask and the BW. Some bottles available to go as well.
Value: Price were good for the area, but not so good for the quality.
Overall: A good place to get a few easy ticks or to talk because the sound level is much lower than at Lord Hobo, but if you want to drink good beers go to Lord Hobo directly.

Definitely a brewpub, intense grain smell as soon as you walk in the door. Fairly spacious place, lots of seating, visited on a Friday night on EBF weekend and they had no trouble seating our party of six. Service was a tad slow. The beers were the major letdown here for me, I had some really nice CBC beers before but their brewpub regulars were average at best. Prices were decent. I pretty much agree with jrallenís place rating on this one.

Hard to find since they are strangely placed on the ratebeer map, but when you get there itís worth it. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and some awesome house beers. A must-visit.

I had a pretty similar experience to Leighton. The beers are solid, well-priced. Unfortunately this place takes Halloween seriously, as I had to deal with a minefield of pumpkin beers on tap. Flights are available. I think I paid something like $10 for 5 5oz samples. Service was very meh. Bride of Chucky was playing on TV, which was a pretty bold move on the staffís part.

Solid spot. Well appointed interior, lots of seating bot indoors and out, fund decor, nice bar. They have a great selection of house beers, priced quite competitively. The quality of the beers is generally good. The server was effective if not exactly ebullient. They offer food but I didnít eat on my visit. Definitely worth a visit if you are swinging through Cambridge/ Boston.

This is so close to Lord Hobo that if you donít listen to me and decide to go to the Hobo you might as well stop by here for 10-12 new ticks if you like quantity and not quality. The year round beers here can all be skipped and remind of you what people though good beer was 10 years ago. Of the 12 beers on tap only 2 sours and an awesome barleywine were worth trying. The scene wasnít my thing and the server seemed like a know it all.

Good food, if a bit pricey. Decent selection of in-house brews. Academic atmosphere.
