Had little time, just to swing by and purchase some beers. Very helpful people, selling the Cantillon beers (what is available, wished there was more) in the factory. Think museum is overstated. Busy with other beer lovers, which is always nice.

For every beergeek, this is the most important place to visit when you’re in Brussels. Friendly people, who have a real passion for their lambics. Atmosphere is amazing in this cozy place. TO EVERYONE VISITING CANTILLON, give me a heads up, I’d love to trade/share some bottles! (Beer availabilty last edited: 3th of march 2014)

A ways from the main touristic parts of Brussels, the pilgrimage here takes you through some interesting immigrant neighborhood you might not otherwise see. Once you’re there you get a brief verbal introduction to the brewing process and then you are let loose to roam around the brewery. The nice part of this approach is you get to spend as much time looking at the stuff that is most interesting to you, but you don’t get as much of the inside info you sometimes get on guided tours. Afterwards you get a small glass of lambic and one of fruit beer included in the visit price. They have a few other beers (including some old Zwanze) available for purchase in the bar, and a picked-over selection of their standard lineup in the gift shop. Staff is mostly very friendly. Plan on spending a couple hours here, there’s a lot to see tucked away in the corners of the brewery.

The place is amazing. When I walked in I was hit by the distinctive lambic smell from the barrels they were cleaning in the basement. The tour was self guided so no opportunity to answer questions except at the end. A great way to spend an afternoon. The only complaint is the limited selection of beers on sale - most were sold out or simply not for sale. I was only allowed one Lou Pepe Kriek and even though there were crates of Iris around, they would not sell me any! I had to hunt it down elsewhere. If you want to try the Cantillon Zwanze you can only drink it on the premises - so make sure you don’t turn up late in the day just before closing! Update: I made it back to Brussels again recently and visited once more. Still limited selection for sale but some different ones from last time. I also made it there in time to try the Zwanze thanks to the generosity of a random Aussie stranger who had a bottle open (thanks mate!)

What a wonderfully charming place. A small brewery that let’s you wander through it while everyone is working around you, wandering through lines of bottles, staff are very friendly. Some samples at the end of the tour and the option to hang around and chat while sipping beer. Was there on a Friday afternoon and there were about 10 others, Americans and Scandis. Lovely atmosphere, lovely place.

Must visit place in brussels. Brewery tour is 7€ including two tastings of lambics. Also several lambics available. Lou pepes by bottles 12€ and some other. You can also buy bottles, unfortunately they were pretty sold out.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and did the brewery tour. It’s very nice to see their installations and I enjoyed that you can take the time you want to do the tour. Service was great. Passionnate and friendly staff from the guy who started our tour to the lady at the store. Selection for take out is good (St. Lamvinus, Vigneronne, Gueuze bio, Rosé de Gambrinus and Kriek were availaible), but the selection for on site consumption is amazing and include Zwanze 2012 (and for cheap). Price are the best you can find for these lambics. Overall, I had an awesome time here. This place is a must for every lambic aficionado.

It’s not like all the other breweries I visited before! it is a must visit for anyone in Brussels. The staff is helpful with any questions and all the locals of the brewery are very interesting. The selection of beers on draft and the bottles are obviously super.
