Cool place to have a tour and rice tasting room for a beer or five afterwards - pricing is to the bone

If you ever come to Brussels, this is the place to visit. For me it was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed self guided tour, which I would not recommend without some knowledge about brewing lambik. It could be hard to appreciate what you see, if you don’t know the basics, at least. We loved every minute of out time in Cantillon. Only single drawback was limited offer of bottles for take away, only Gueuze, Kriek and Rose de Gambrinus were available, others were sold out.

For every beergeek, this is the most important place to visit, when you’re in Brussels. You’ll meet some of the friendliest people, who have a real passion for their lambics. The atmosphere is amazing in this cozy place.

TO EVERYONE VISITING CANTILLON Give me a heads up, I’d love to hang out with a fellow RB and share some bottles.

March 2013. So there I was, on my way back to Croatia from Belgium... I really wanted to make this, yeah, pilgrimage, and my bus for Charleroi going from Midi made things even easier. So yes, recent decades didn’t treat the surrounding quarter kindly, but there it was, "another building in a row", Cantillon... got the self-guided tour, through this amazing facility and, in the end, took a Lamvinus to go and Fou’ Foune just for myself... sat there, sipping on the 0.75l bottle, enjoying every drop of it, giggling a little stupidly for a moment at what your average name/whale/e-penis hunting beerbro would do for it. For a moment because who cares. I did well at the Bruxelles interview, despite the odds, I deserved to visit a great place sit in peace a little with a great beer and just relax. It’s a moment I will never forget. Cantillon is a place I tell every friend who visits Bruxelles to visit. Visiting Rome without seeing the Pope as the proverb goes is visiting Bruxelles without visiting Cantillon. An experience as culturally important as it’s hedonistic.

This is the place to go when in Brussels. Cosy bar where you can buy different cantillon beers to drink in. They have lots of merchandise like glassware, jug ware, different t-shirts, baskets etc. they prices are very fair. Bring a jacket, it’s quite cold there.

Wonderful place to visit, even if you don’t like lambics. Everything else has been said.

What to say that hasn’t already been said about this place? Had some great Cantillon brews on my recent visit. The location is unique, you really get the feeling you are drinking in a brewery, as straight from the source as possible. Friendly people, crowd consists of international beer geeks and large groups of confused tourists. Truly a pilgrimage every beer geek has to make at least once in his or her life.

Did the walking tour which was pretty nice though mostly just seeing stuff by yourself without much explanation so not too interesting. There was a private tour going on that was a whole lot more interesting.
