Nice place in Cap Hill if you’re on the prowl for ciders. Expensive. Probably won’t return because I’m cheap and not crazy about cider, but I get the feeling I’m not really the audience for this place anyway.

A great place in the Capitol Hill area, with a boutique-type feeling inside. 30 ciders / meads / beers on tap, plus a bunch more bottles. Prices are rather outrageous for anything other than a few of the local ciders. Flights are only available for 3 preset trays of bottled ciders ($12-14 for 3 x 3 oz. pours). Bartender is generous with free samples though. Overall, worth a stop when in the area.

A nicely appointed room. Impressive cider list, and a nice ’bottle shop’ inside as well (a few low-boy refrigerators of nicely curated bottles). Seems a bit expensive, but it is Cap Hill and I don’t have a great sense of value with ciders. Overall, very well curated and a knowledgeable staff. I’ll be back to explore the WA cider scene further

As the name implies, a cider only bar with a lot of offerings both on tap and in the bottle. Lots of local PNW ciders as well as some Canadian and a number of European offerings.

Kind of a small, cramped place. Nice wooden interior/decor. Kind of classic.

They offer full pours of all the draft ciders, some pre-set flights which may be bottles or draft pours, and of course the bottles are available for purchase as well. The man working the bar was super friendly and offered to let us try any of the draft ciders prior to purchasing glasses. That was much appreciated due to the price of some of the ciders.

They do have beers here as well, but personally I think you’re better off going for the ciders since it’s a bit different from most of the other places around.

This is a really nice addition to Seattle’s pub scene, which doesn’t have many gaps left to fill at this point. These guys definitely specialize in cider, but there’s something for everyone here—you can bring a crew of cider maniacs here and they’ll all be happy, but they’re serious about their beer list, too, and they offer wine and spirits. The food is also really good; they’re pretty thoughtful about covering their bases for sure. It’s a little bit squeezed into a well-occupied older building at Broadway and Pike, but it’s a very cool space and they make the most of it for sure. You never feel cramped. The place has an old-timey feel, like maybe they’re hinting at a colonial america vibe, but they don’t hit you in the face. You settle in and get comfortable on wooden chairs (or booths) and gradually start to notice the oil paintings above you—landscapes, founding fathers, ex-presidents. Classicist stuff, but not stuffy. Then you start to realize that cider and hard cider were probably pretty common drinks on these shores 250 years ago, and it dovetails together. The service is really nice—super friendly, patient with questions, quick with tasters, right on point throughout. We sat upstairs right at the bar, which I’ve heard makes a difference in their timeliness (downstairs can be a lot slower, they say). We had a couple ciders and a couple beers, all of which were interesting and well-chosen, and not just the run of the mill by any means. We also had a cheese plate, a bowl of potato soup, and the roast pork with avocado. The pork comes out in very small bites served in a cabbage cup, which was a cool presentation, and everything about the soup and cheeses was right on. In the end, this wasn’t cheap—pushing $70 for three small plates and four drinks. But that’s quite alright, because the quality, service, and setting were right on point. If you’re eating, this might almost be on the splurgey side for a casual meal, but it could probably go either way—and it rewards the splurge well enough. And for drinks the prices are pretty standard for where you are. I’ll definitely be back, especially with cider lovers.

Great new addition to the Capitol Hill scene! Spread out over two floors, with dining on the ground floor and a basement devoted to games and drinking. The tap list was pretty impressive, and deep. About 30, with half cider and half beer on offer. Lots of stuff I have never heard of. Not cheap but what is nowadays? The atmosphere was choice when we were there on a Friday night. Lively attractive 30-something crowd. Music was a fabulous array of 80s, and I felt quite at home :) easy to get sucked in here! We didn't eat but the bar snack menu downstairs was interesting enough to pique my curiosity for next visit.

CC is a gem of a bar. Killer cider selection though admittedly I didn’t get my cider drink on here, but Almanac Dogpatch Sour on tap...yes please! Friendly staff, good vibe going on...they clearly enjoy good beer and the taplist reflects that. Props to all involved.

Newly opened bar in the Capitol Hill area. Found this place on my last night in Seattle; it was a Friday night and the place was heaving. Medium sized seating area as you walk in; tables & booths. Nice wooden, brick artistic decor. Bar at the end of the room with seating. Taps all laid out in display on the back wall, with a wet bar surrounding. Impressive selection of cider in bottles and draught; and the draught beer selection isn’t too shoddy either. Went straight for the Basque ciders on offer. Bottles & draught served at the correct temperatures, with bottled ciders being served in nice wine glasses. Chatted with the GM and was shown around the place, only to find a huge room downstairs; there’s another bar, skiffle tables, loads of seating and the cellar/cold room. Impressive. The guys have got big plans for this place, and their enthusiasm for cider really does come through. Really good atmosphere, with a mix of all ages & types of drinkers. There’s a well thought out wine list & cocktails too; Kim is very knowledgeable on his mixology. Pricing is on a par with anywhere else in Seattle. One other thing, you can buy any bottle to go at 50% off menu price!!! A must visit if you’re in this area. Visited 12 July. #EBGA
