I stopped in on a couple of occasions in Sept. 2005. The bartenders were either ambivalent or downright rude--I was told on a Saturday that they were out of the Double Amber but would have it in on Monday. So after drinking their other beers, I stopped in on Monday, and another bartender said "we don’t have it"--fine, "do you have any idea when you’ll be getting it in; I was told Saturday it could be this week," and his reply was "we don’t have it right now." Well, do you have a guess about the chances? "We don’t have it right now." Like, why are you giving me the John Roberts answers? Not that their beers are that great anyway. He eventually gave me a "50/50" answer, which he could have been much more forthcoming about earlier on.

Went here on Monday, September 5th, 2005. Went here for lunch after touring some of the museums. Had the crabcake sandwich and a beer sampler. Also had a pint of the kolsch. Pretty good stuff all the way around. Service was good as well. Lacking a bit of the ambiance of the Capitol Hill location but still worth going to if in town.

Was here on a business trip and felt it was a pretty decent place to sample some ok beers with ok food.

I was impressed. Good bunch of beers and really great food...all in a nicely attractive package.

Beer selection is invariably better than at the Capitol Hill location. Decent upscale pub grub. Generally speaking, helpful staff and good service (though I have had a couple of bad waitresses).
