Decent brewpub in the Shirlington area of Arlington. Street parking and some parking lots/garages nearby. Pretty spacious dining area. Solid selection of house drafts, nothing too out of the ordinary style-wise. Food was tasty, enjoyed the hummus appetizer. Wouldn’t go out of my way but not a bad stop if you’re in this part of Arlington.

Tale of two halves, which is appropriate given that I came midafternoon during March Madness. Though there were only a few people at the huge bar, so bartenders were not remotely busy. First half: totally ignored by bartender for interminable periods. finally ordered a sampler, which was the "four core" beers plus one seasonal of the seven listed. Bluntly and absolutely refused to serve anything but a full pint of the other six seasonals. No offer of food menu, water, anything. Fail. Second half: different bartender comes around after I finished initial sampler flight. After brief discussion, given sampler of remaining five seasonals (one was out), as well as the complimentary hot pretzel basket. Very nice and attentive. The place is nice, but the huge oval bar has several 15 barrel brewing tanks in the middle, making it impossible for the bartenders to notice the needs of patrons on the other side of where they may be standing at any given time. Beers were ok, with the seasonal coffee stout a standout. Sampler flights are very cheap. Lesson: ask for the pretzels, and avoid the barkeep with the nosering. Which is probably a good general lesson for life. Review is an average of the halves in terms of service and overall.

It’s a little on the chain brewery side, but probably a step up from Rock Bottom or Gordon Biersch. They have tried to offer a couple of IPAs, but it appears to be a work in progress. The food is decent. The other taps are passable. It’s not close to a Metro, so if you’re going to imbibe and you’re visiting the area, might want to break out that Uber app. There are also a few other bars with interesting selections nearby, so it makes the trip worthwhile.

This location seemed to have more seasonal offerings (5) than the others, and the quality of the seasonals seemed to be higher as well. Server let me do a flight of only seasonals, rather than just the year-round beers as the menu calls for. Food was the same as the other location. Overall, enjoyable.

Cool spot in Arlington. Flights of beers for a very reasonable price, free warm pretzels, decent food, and great service. Bustling atmosphere at 7 pm on a workday.

An open layout with the brew tanks in the center of the restaurant. The is a free parking garage directly behind the brew pub. The service is attentive and understood the beers well enough. There were 7 beers available during my visit. I did not have food on this visit, but the menu is typical of the other locations. Their prices indicate they are rather proud of their beer, but this is par for the area.

A very clean nice place. Has good food and a ton of TV’s. Went in on Sunday and they had every game on HD flat screen. Their beer is decent reminds me of the chain micro brew pub but it is decent. Prices were a touch high but the food is good and real good service. Had draft rootbeer for my kids which is always a plus. Overall a very enjoyable time a touch pricey but not enough to make me not return. Love the cask.

Stop #2 on my beer tour of Arlington. Great open spaces making what would seem like a crowd look more dispersed and inviting. Large copper bar top right next to the fermentation tanks on a big island. Opted for the sampler (which my bartender advised me against for some reason) and added all of the other seasonals (sampler - 5 pours for 5.55, 4 standard, your choice of seasonal) at a scant $1 each and ended up trying 9 beers for under $10. Hard to beat. Got a black bean burger and was quite impressed. Being the token vegetarian at a lot of beer things, I’ve eaten my share of mediocre veggie burgers at brewpubs. This one was pretty solid. Service was laid back but I’m pretty sure I could have gotten something if I needed it. Wish the local brewpubs near me were more like this.

I just stopped in to get a couple of growlers filled but liked this location better than the Capitol Hill one. The restaurant itself was nicer and parking was much easier with a large lot nearby. The DC locations do not fill growlers but Arlington’s did. Growlers and beer were $21 each. There was a nice outdoor seating area that seemed very nice.

Had a bit of trouble finding this. DC roads suck. It’s not the brewery’s fault. There is a parking garage near the brewpub but I easily found on the street parking. About 4:30 pm on a weekday and the place was fairly empty. Large amounts of indoor seating with an outdoor patio area. There are lots of windows all around, as well as nice, huge, glimmering copper tanks behind the bar in the center of everything. It was raining while I was there but I imagine it can get nice and bright inside. Industrial ambience. Nice cheap happy hour special. Quesadilla was tasty but a little boring. Beer is VERY solid and the highlight of a three brewery beer trip... by far. Lots of standouts for me. A couple of misses. but overall these people do very well. Prices are about mid-level. Growlers are not bad... $21 filleed and $11 refilled for ice fliptops. Definitely a great place to stop.
