Stuck in with all the other faux high end restaurant in Shirlington, but it’s still a nice place. Large wrap-around bar centered in the building. Had the Belgian pale ale and the Oatmilk Stout, both were OK. Food selection looks really good, especially the appetizers/happy hour menu, but when my lamb kebabs arrived they were pretty bland. No seasoning to the meat, the tatziki sauce was like easting straight yogurt... but really no one in the US knows how to do proper doner kebabs. I make a mean one at home, and the ones at Cap City were disappointing.

Had a good experience here. The selection was better than I had remembered other Capitol City locations have been, or at least was there early enough to have a wider selection. Had a bunch of the beer from their selection, and was waited on in a timely manner. Food was decent, especially for a brewpub.

My experience wasn’t very good. Our waiter was horribly innattentive, the beer selection was poor. Such a letdown, becuase the Cap City in DC is top notch.

Kind of warehousy, but there are lots of booths so a dinner group can be semi-private and comfortable. Seven brews on tap for my visit... the five regular offerings can be sampled in tasters for $4.25. Food is generously portioned, but standard bar fare and dare I say salty. Attentive service is even semi-passionate about beer and seems to know their stuff.

Everything is commensurate with what you expect from Cap City -- some good beers, some mediocre ones, and decent food. Last month was the only time I’ve been since Bill Madden (former head brewer) left for Founders in Alexandria, but I have to say, I had some good beers that time. In particular, the ESB was top notch.
