This is a good beer place in a city with many beer venues. There is a bar with a few stools, a few booths and some tall barrel tables, all with a good view of two flat screen TVs. The wait people are very attentive and there is a good selection of brewery beers, including two that are served directly from the aging barrels. You will definitely find something you like. They offer full-size beers or samplers of anything on the menu. A must stop place.

Since this is my favorite brewery to visit in Portland, I should probably document it. Iíve been here about 4 times now, and now has become a must stop for all my Portland trips. For a sour beer lover like myself, this is the place to go. Sample size pours, as well as full from a wide variety of taps, as well as their non sour offerings. Iíd call their non sour beers good, but the sours are what keep me coming back, especially since there is always something new. The live barrel taps are always cool, and I got a chance to be there for one, even though I donít live there and they do it in the middle of the work week. Food is always good, though the menu is a little limited. Nice outdoor seating area, that I havenít sat in yet, because for me there is a lot to look at inside. Always heavy traffic of people coming in to buy the wide variety of to go bottles they have. Good location, as there are many places to hit close by on a crawl. As I said before, a must stop place for sour lovers and beer lovers alike.

Visited in the early afternoon on Monday June 29, 2015. No AC and a hot day, fans werenít helping much, was a sweaty visit. Fairly big crowd inside, not many outside at this time. Found a table in the back for the 4 of us. Possible to purchase 2 small samples at the time from the rather big selection available. For the first run we pretty much got 2 samples each, then I had a few more once my mates had found what they wanted to drink. Service was good. Part from it being so hot in there, was a realy interestign place, especially with the sour selection and the regular selection to work together. Would absolutely go back if in town again. Walked over from the Green Dragon which is literally across the street, there was a bus stop right there as well, if I remember correct the number 15 bus stopping at SE Belmont St and SE 9th Ave. Parking in the street seems to be available. Not many crosswalks around, so take caution if walking to these places. After here walked a few blocks to Base Camp. Wifi available.

Pretty cool place with a makeshift patio out front, plenty of bar seating, and some high top (barrel) tables inside. Nice brick building...all very well done.
Inside they had a handful of "regular" beers, that is: not sour. These were mostly mediocre. Lots of sour stuff on tap including a few specials like Honeycot and Aviation Tartini, but a lot of their normal lineup of sour beers. But itís nice to be able to try them in this way instead of buying a $30+ 750ml bottle.
Service was quite good and quick. But the prices here are relatively high compared to other places in town. Yeah, the tasters are cheap, but theyíre quite small. And the bottles are (as previously mentioned) expensive.
Overall, itís not a place I was blown away by. When I first started trying sour beers maybe 6 years ago, there werenít a whole lot of American breweries making them and their Kriek and Apricot were early favorites. Since then, theyíve obviously expanded their lineup, but I feel the taste of those beers doesnít match up and the prices are too high. Perhaps itís just a case of this brewery just running its course for me.

Nice place with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, including a decent sized bar. 12 sour taps and 6 "other," plus a coupe of barrel specials and bottles for in-house consumption. Other bottle available to go. It took a bit for me to get the attention of a server, but after that all was good. Everything for sale in tasters, which can be purchased individually. Vintage bottle list was a bonus. Lack of air conditioning was a drawback, at least today.

Quite a fun visit. Extra fun during CBC. Had some food, it was decent, but that is not the reason that you come to Cascade. The beers are as you would expect, mostly sour and almost all delicious. Great and friendly service, even during a busy time. Staff is very nice. Definitely worth a visit.

20 taps of which 13 sour ones. Very nice beers and very good service. Food wasnít exceptionally good though. It happened to be Tuesday when we visited and at 6 pm they cracked open a new cask. This time it was Gose de Mayo. Every Tuesday they have Tap It Tuesday ceremony.

Light and open place with quite a few seats and a patio out front. Made the mistake of working our way through the whole list in taster size and the rest of the day was pretty fuzzy. Some very high percentage ones on there. Prices were a bit higher than other places, but guess their beers are different and it always seems that ísoursí are more expensive. Beers were mostly great but was stupidly too overwhelmed to rate any of them. Maybe next time.
